All I see are end game items. I’m a dude who plays maybe twice a week and still has mid-low level characters. It’s difficult to find anyone who has or is looking for mid to low level gear because the forums are full of D2 enthusiasts who play nonstop and have high level characters.
Someone point me in the right direction, because I have stuff to trade away for low to mid level chars. If I can’t find anyone, I’m just going to create a new character and dump my gear to whoever happens to be in the game with me.
How low are we talking? Most gear under level 40 is just fodder that is given away freely or not even picked up.
They do, but it would probably trade for perfect gems if anything. But most people just toss gear like that on the ground in a “free stuff here” type of game.
I do if it’s something of value. I have a ton of stuff on traderie. You should try looking for items there. Anything in particular you are looking for? I trade most low to mid level stuff for magic jewels amn runes and p gems.
Tradeable gear is usually on the higher end of the drop table. Certain things always sell, dwarf stars, vipermagic, gore riders, string, list goes on, but it is selective items at the lower levels.
Mid to high range like 40-80 gear is probably the most traded.
It’s typically like that in most ARPGs. End game is when the game truely begins.
Low-mid lvl range items are typically valueless due to Normal and NM being pretty simple and you don’t remain between the lvls of 30-60 for long. Hypothetically, you could achieve level 80 in one day no problem, so there’s little value in low-mid range items.
Perhaps Hardcore mode you may see more trades in the mid tier level because you’re tryng to avoid death completely, but I don’t play HC so I don’t actually know.
I just drop most gear I find for others at this point honestly. Every time I try to trade those low-mid stuff, problem is they’re not really worth much. Pgems okay, but pgems are so easy to get just playing/mfing that it’s difficult to say the time spend trading the items would be worth it (opportunity cost). So I just drop the stuff in a “free” game when my stash fills

I just trash anything in my online character that he wont use , not like i will ever bother to trade and barely any friends do play this game

I’m talking about stuff like Eyeless or The Ward or The Chieftain. They have their usefulness but not great gear beyond Normal. Should have more value than they seem to have in this forum… I get it though. People mf with 1 character and then find superior gear. I’m just trying to find people like me who need this mid level gear in the meantime.
Stuff like whatever that Set breast plate is called just sucks unless someone is trying to assemble a full set for novelty sake. So not talking about that.
Either way, I’ll prob end up free dumping the gear to someone in a game.

make a blizz sorc, farm hell with the 1-2 hours you play. you’ll eventually drop better items to trade
Most people dont bother trading low gear etc because of limited stash space and how much time it takes to get rid of them. I either sell them to vendors or drop them on games asking for free gear. You can get to hell with random gear and farm the pits to get/trade all the gear you need
maxroll just published a list of high-mid-low and vendor trash. its a decent baseline. i made my own, they’re fairly similar. doesnt include what to look for on rares tho. just uniques and sets
I usually hand out things like full sigons to starter players, despite being able to trade things like that.
Traderie is hands down an amazing site, I just wish the pricing was more stable. But that site is a PERFECT example of what blizz can do for us to support trading, and prob even make some extra dollars with ads
