I’ve been trying to find this on Google. I found another useful resource where it lists the monster level of each area in hell, but it would be fantastic is for that table to also list the immunities of all the monsters in each area to make it easier to see what areas are safe to fight in for your character.
I’m sure this exists… but I’m getting a lot of reddit question posts about immunities and Google isn’t given me what I am asking for.
Another reason I am asking this is that I am using a cold sorc, but some of the level 85 areas are not very dense at all, and seem pretty tedious to run. The Mausoleum was a good stepping stone, but there’s just not enough enemies in there to make it interesting to fight in, and the experience gain is bad.
I was just trying random areas and I played in “The Cave” accessible through the Cold Plains, and that area is very safe for a cold sorc. The density in that area is massive. I know it won’t drop a Crown of Ages, but it was dropping a lot of interesting items and I was getting a lot more experience. It was also very easy. I know The Cave isn’t a high level area, but it did make curious about other areas that might be better.
It would be great to have a table like this.
Thanks!
Ancient Tunnels in The Lost City act 2 is a 85 area without cold immunes
Edit: Scratched incorrect info my brain told me to be correct…
The pit is has both cold immune and fire immune, with some lightning immune Tainted thrown in for good measure I believe. I usually run it with my Meteorb sorc and have Orb on left click and FB on right click so I can use cold and fire easily at the same time depending on which monster I come across. A pure cold sorc may have some issues.
I stand corrected then. Dunno why my brain convinced me otherwise, one cup of morning coffee obviously not enough I think

Yeah, I was going to say, I tried the pits and the lancers and skeletons down there are cold immune.
Ancients Tunnels is probably the best area for me so far. It’s still pretty easy, but I like running it. The area isn’t cramped or too dark, and the pack density is a lot better for the size of the area.
I realized that the entire Maggot Lair is not cold immune either, but my merc dies down there constantly. What an annoying place to farm… maybe when my merc doesn’t die down there I might farm it but not now. Too frustrating.
I go pure cold so I can run energy shield. I still find that if I don’t have a safe build or safe set of items, I risk dying a lot. Energy shield lets me make a mistake when teleporting and not die from a physical hit. I actually want to gain levels… not just get items.
While I am aware of the more “common” areas people farm, I’m still curious about other areas. I mean, level 80-84 areas that are really easy would still be worth farming if the xp and density were good enough. I’m at the point where I still want many uniques and sets in my collection rather than just looking for the bigger items.
If you are running pure cold, then remember you have a “hidden weapon” in Telekinesis. It will pushback monsters, and you can glue them to the wall with it, while your merc stabs it to death. Might take a while, but nice trick to use if running into an elite that is CI.

Yeah, I actually static field if they are not immune to lighting too - they go down pretty quick.
Get treachery runeword for armor, an elite pole arm runeword of your choice and a helmet with lifeleech, such as andariels visage, tal’s mask or vamp gaze, and your merc should do pretty massive amounts of damage, and can easily bring down any immunities you might encounter. Treachery is massive because of it’s 40% increased attack speed which makes a huge difference, as well as the fade proc, which gives him loads of resistances and damage reduction.
A merc setup like this makes chaos sanctuary a cakewalk to run, and the merc build is very cheap and easily accomplishable early on.
Yeah, I haven’t been able to make a Treachery yet. I have a couple of 3os armors I’ve been saving, but I don’t have the Lem rune for it yet. I think I might wait for a good 3os eth armor too rather than waste it in 3os mage plate or boneweave I just have in my stash.
He is wearing Duriel’s Shell and Tal Rasha’s Helmet right now, so it’s not all bad. He’s using Insight Partizan at the moment. Not elite, but it’ll have to do until something better drops.

The Ancient Tunnels in the Lost City and Maggot Lair lvl 1, 2 and 3 have no cold immunes. Only the occasional unique that rolls it and the Maggot queen.
Bosses dont have Immunitys
If I remember correctly, the Maggot queen at the end with the chest has always been cold immune. I remember that being difficulty as I was progressing through the game since I was a cold sorc.
Bosses of the Acts, not Superrares
Can’t find the list you want (admittedly didn’t look very hard), but:
Act 3 - Lower Kurast. Bazzar and UK have some cold immunes, but they aren’t much of a threat. (Don’t go in the reliquaries. They have cold immune snakes.)
Act 2 - Ancient Tunnels, normal mobs aren’t cold immune, but uniques commonly spawn with cold immune.
Act 2 - Quite a lot in Far Oasis and Lost City is not cold immune and those things that are can be easily avoided.
Act 1 - Dark Wood and Black Marsh are good spots.
I find it is easier to find locations that have cold immunes I can easily avoid than to find those completely without them
