Do poison necros suck?

I’m level 60 poison necro and it seems to work fine when enemy’s can be killed by it but when they don’t take damage I can’t progress what am I supose to do?

You need good gear and pnb gcs and they are really good just not at killing bosses

I have solid gear but that’s not even the problem it’s when a enemy is immune to poison which is what my char is I can’t progress

There’s a bunch of content creators on youtube with some very nice strategies. I’m having the same problem as a jazon in hell with light imm. As a necro you have access to lower res. curse. As a zon, I’m settling for a wand of lower resist. Not much but enough to break imm. as light is the easiest to. Later, when you can afford, deck your merc. with an infinity. That easy.

single focus builds all kinda have that problem by the time you get to hell… you have to have a dopeass merc, skip the mob or have another way to deal damage from a different element (corpse explosion is so good as a necro)

Immune mobs just suck really.

you use corpse explosion for those

You are asking if poison necros suck because poison immune enemies exist. The answer is no. Immunities affect every single build.

You say you can’t progress because of poison immune enemies. Can you please be more specific? What prevents you from just skipping the immune enemies, i.e. run past them? If you absolutely have to kill them let your merc kill a few and then blow the corpses with Corpse Explosion which deals fire and physical damage.

See, e.g., this excellent guide for how to deal with immunities in general https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xXeo-_9D_k

With the right gear, mainly Death’s Web wand, Lower Resist, along with your Merc and Corpse Explosion. The slowest thing you kill is bosses. You can even grab Infinity for your Merc if you got the items BUT REMEMBER, Infinity will NOT increase your poison damage, it reduces Fire/Light/Cold res, so it would increase the damage of your Corpse Explosion, not your Poison Nova. your Lower Resist spell however does reduce poison resists.
