Why would die facet be worth more than level?
I am level 91 on my blizz sorc and have not died since 89. Are people planning on dieing more than leveling?
Is it a PvP thing? Fry the other person for killing you?
PVP.
Plus if you do die in PvE, it potentially makes it easier to get your body back, so you can reclaim 75% of that lost XP.

It’s not the death proc that’s useful…. It’s the dmg/lower resistances…

It matters very little in PVE, it can finish mobs near your corpse maybe, and in PVP it might finish your opponent if you both are very near death. That is the only difference
So it can trigger more often based on “On death” condition than “level up”.
Otherwise its just personal taste.

I could also clear some of the mob from around your corpse in PvE…
i play exclusively hardcore so id prefer level up anyways i guess
Think about it though… If you’re running On Death facets and someone killed you, you have the potential to ruin their day as well. Makes hardcore death have meaning! :>
IDK the idea of killing the mobs that killed you is appealing to me. Never actually utilized the death trigger myself in HC though.
It is worth more because the people playing the game want it more than level. Logically though i’m level 96 it can only go off 3 times ever at this point and when it does go off there probabley won’t be anything around me because i would have just killed the mobs to level.
The game is a min max game. Anything a little bit better or perfect will always cost more. But really when it comes down to it in this case it doesnt really matter. Facets like this are cheap anyways 5/5 facets arent that speacial. I have pulled mutiple in and out of my griffon doing different things

you have the potential to die an unlimited number of times but you can only trigger the level up gems 8 more times.

this exactly it isn’t that die is good really it’s just that level is worse. anything even slightly better is going to cost more.
with die you know there is a mob with level you don’t know, in sc at least die is unlimited wile level can cast a total of 50 times
