Diadem with nef pul vex transformed into Flickering flame after ladder reset

Unfortunately, I have no way to prove it with a video or picture.
I tought Flickering flame was available non ladder some months ago and added Nef+pul+Vex into a diadem. I keep it as a memento to always cross check.
I just log in and see it transformed into a real flickering flame.
I am sorry I have no prove of it, maybe others can share similar experience

It rolled 5/11/66

I can actually vouch for this. A friend of mine that I recently got into D2R got a little ahead of himself and made one yesterday a few hours before ladder and got nothing out of it. He called me to complain asking if there was anything he could do. I told him to hold it. I thought maybe since it’s in a helm and in the right order, maybe it would make one after, and it did.

I made a pattern claw early, it morphed to Pattern after reset.

of that’s true it’s kind of fascinating

It means that the game regularly rechecks item data, probably every patch/update refreshes the item data. Obscure reference, but it’s like difference between gen3 and gen6 EVs in pokemon. Before gen6, EVs would only update on level up, meaning that a level 100 pokemon was stuck with their EVs forever. After gen6, they would dynamically update for immediate results.

That’s really neat! Since legacy always had the pattern of LORW and never being able to be built on NL, we never would have encountered this before, but from the game’s perspective, that’s a valid RW in NL, and the runes are in the correct order, so, why not?

So if we find nice Bases for any of the new Rune Words, lookin at you mosaic, We can make them, and just set it on a mule and play the long game lol.

Been playing Diablo 2 sense og launch, I am ok with the long game :stuck_out_tongue:

They shouldn’t have told people offline effects would go live on the 15th, without specifying what wouldn’t be working on the 15th.
