Hello,
I am a veteran Diablo fan and have been playing the series in its entirety ever since the first installment – even though Part IV is not that good of a game.
Anyway, Diablo II: Resurrection is not the Same Diablo II: Lord of Destruction game from years past. Because of this, I feel its only right that Blizzard updates the game and adds the missing content for the title as well as the Cleric Class that was rumored to have been in development as well.
It wouldn’t hurt to incorporated additional classes as well. …Bottom line is that Diablo II was never a finished product upon its launch, and even after multiple updates and an expansion the game was still left incomplete.
Please, Blizzard –
finish what Brevik and his Excellent Crew started!
Then it wouldn’t be d2"r" and good luck dealing with the crowd who mainly or exclusively play with legacy graphics either for performance or visual reasons, big middle finger for them. So yes, these are logical obstacles, nothing complicated.
You write about an additional character, once there was a rumor about a new act. I have no illusions such changes will never come. For the moment d2r needs to crack down on bots. I am playing the new season on hc and what is happening is sick. The game is broken. Bots have completely taken over the game. I feel like 90% of people have bots. There is no motivation to play, after less than a week the market is full of items. If they don’t do something about it the game will die.
Blizzard finished Brevik’s and his crew’s work by censorship and disabling TCP/IP.
I hope this enlightens what further “enhancements” this company can do to it.
That was the case pretty much day one already and im not calling resurrected as day one, more like LoD release.
Bots are pretty much a mandatory requirement for old blizz games in order to even see some rare items or runes and its been like that at every single product of this company that has unrealistic droprates or requires you to put your RL into the trashcan. Inlcuding original WoW, D2 and D3 vanilla.
Bots, RMT and all that stuff is just the result of that gamedesign.
I started playing day1 D2 and LoD and guess when ive found my first Jah ever? Last season. Ofc people use bots or rather purchase runes, you can be lucky and start the season fresh and immediately find a Jah like i did a few days ago or waste your entire life and not get one, even when running a bot 24/7 when you sleep or work.
D2 is a wreck when it comes to droprates and the worst part is that you require them to efficiently keep darming at a difficulty, while the game basicly ends once you have them bcz the gap at every single game created by blizzard is always mindblowing.
The same issues are dragged into D3, WoW and D IV and the playerbase couldnt be different. Those who play for fun, those who laughfully play a ladder in a company that never cared about cheating, the RMTs … the itemaddicts that only play for items and use bots for whatever reason …
I mean basicly blizzard never have been different at what they do, except that they got worse at game and itemdesign over time and never understood themselves what the impact of a ladder has had, even if it was nothing but a mobile clowns version of it for those who would never be able to compete or even qualify in proper environments.
Same with item rarity of the massive damage to itemaddiction caused by transmog.
Personally i even remember old rune droprates before they buffed them… what a joke to begin with.
Bots, Cheats etc are just the result of Blizzards Game Design and id go this far to say that this is a mandatory and wanted behaviour at Blizz.
They never figured the middleground of anything at everything.
Its either broken or totaly stupid, like comparing D2 droprates with the lowend hardcore casualized Diablo IV items, the gap is massive. You have two games one requiring bots and the other one beeing so damn trash that you dont even wanna play it. Middleground of that? Doesnt exist.
I request - Act6, /players 8 and bot protection or at least manual bot checks.
You could figure out most people botting just by doing proper ip lookup or that could be the initial filter. Someone botting will most likely be on a VPN. Very unlikely they would be using a proxy service. Then, if they were, it would not be hard to stop either. You could create an algorithm to detect actions that are not human and patterns. Like someone on a VPN + playing 20 hours a day + repeating the same actions over and over is likely a bot lol. You can add weight to each variable to trigger a detection.
They could just disable legacy graphics for new content.
People already map for D2.
They really are not lol.
I mean legacy graphics do look better, but gameplay was never about graphics.
With proper bot protection, this game would actually be popular.
