Diablo II Resurrected Second Account Helping in game

Hello,

As I can’t find any thread specifically asking for this problem I will post a question here.
According to Blizzard Terms you are allowed to have 3 Battle Net accounts on your name. This means that you can buy Second CD KEY for Diablo 2 Resurrected and play with multiple accounts on 1 game. However I found a WoW thread here:
Policy Update for Input Broadcasting - May 2021 - General Discussion - World of Warcraft Forums - This is banning multi account playing but if you use specific software altering and mirroring WoW Keys.
So my question is: is it allowed to have Multiple D2 Resurrected accounts and to play with them on 2 separate computers what I mean for example: I make an Enchant Sorc to Enchant my main Character for more dmg ?

It would be very nice if Admin confirm that for me, as I question specifically about Blizzard Terms.
Sorry if this question has been asked before, if it has been asked and answer from an admin, please give me the link to the asked and answer Thread.

Thank you and wish you very best with our favorite game!

if you use a seperate computer with a seperate bnet account and legal copy its everything fine

You can multibox. But let me simplify this to the bare bones version (no, it doesn’t need any of your personal interpretations or moral bullcrap):

You CANNOT do anything at all, in WoW, outside of alt-tabbing to the other screen and controlling each one individually with your own fingers. Don’t try to overcomplicate that.

They haven’t said anything about Diablo, but I would advise you not to so much as download ANY of those programs, addons, or whatever they are called. You can run multiple copies on one computer. Yes.

I know I’m not an admin, but you’re unlikely to get one to respond to you. I’ve been around this topic for entirely too long, and I know the answers.

I am not asking about any programs and I am not playing WoW! I am asking if I buy second CD KEY and play on separate comp, without anything else, and make an Enchant Sorc is this against the rules. Simple as that.

You may have multiple accounts.

You may also play both accounts at the same time assuming you do not use anything but your hands to play and each button press resulted in one input (W on keyboard left didn’t also tell keyboard right to W).

Well, Mr./Mrs. “Simple as that.” The only place Blizzard has placed any information about this is in WoW, so that is the only thing that can be referenced. There is no “rule” listed. It was just a friendly warning in case you saw something that you thought would make it easier and was in the unwritten rules.

Everything somebody says on the forums isn’t hostile  Do as you wish and figure it out for yourself. If you get banned it’s not my problem.

if you live in a house with some brothers and sisters with seperate computers everyone should be able to log in bnet.
otherwise it make no sence

In theory, if you have 2 pc with 2 accounts and each one of them playing one instance of the game. You’re fine as long you don’t use any kind of automated software.

If you effectively manage to control both games without any further assistance or automated one, should be considered 2 different players.

About any other kind of situation, I wouldn’t take my odds on, if relies on 3rd party software.

About opening multiple instances of the game on same pc, I really can’t tell you if you can or not. But I know that you can have multiple different blizzard games at same time on the same machine.

Sometimes I play a rift on D3 while I’m on OW queue or just other game while I wait on the queue. Most of the games that I can pause I often play together with OW queue, so when something happens I just pause and play OW.

D2 I can’t do that because I couldn’t pause, at least on a private game on battlenet. I considered play d2 with d3, but d2 doesn’t have any queue time so would be pointless to play together.

So, if you have 2 machines and 2 game licenses you should be fine if you play each machine with different license.

But I’m not sure about multiple d2r in the same account. I couldn’t get that benefit on d3 neither on ow. So I really not sure how you would be able to do that other than WoW.

Their multiboxing rules apply to all their products.

I find It odd that you can’t run multiple copies of D2R at the same time (you could D3)…

Ah well It’s their loss, I was planning to buy at least 2 copies, but now I’m stuck with only one…

This is my biggest gripe with D2R.

Using multiple accounts for muling, rushing, bo, enchant, was all standard fare. We can still set up laptops and whatnot, but it’s pretty dumb that it requires that much effort and not everyone owns multiple computers or has a computer that can run a VM.

this… they probably made this limitation to curb botting… but the rest of us got stuck in the crosshairs and are forced to buy new comps (that supports vgpu) or a new comp and use the old one as a 2nd client… Playing hc without BO or (when you rip) can quickly boost another char is a part of d2 :/…

I figured that was the case, but they don’t have it as a hard rule written out (Unless I’ve missed, which is entirely possible). Everything I’ve found says “Multiboxing, or playing multiple World of Warcraft accounts at once, is not a violation of our End User License Agreement. Please note, however, that use of all software or hardware mechanisms used to mirror commands to multiple World of Warcraft accounts at the same time, or to automate or streamline multiboxing in any way may result in account penalties.” But it’s reasonable to assume that applies to everything, or is at least dangerous territory.

I just didn’t want anybody to get in trouble by knowing one thing was okay and then easing into something that isn’t

Can you open a second copy of the game without software intervention?

Yes, you can. As in WoW, multiboxing is allowed. Superfine line though. This is the exact issue that was/is discussed to death in WoW though. It leads to the same series of questions and assumptions. Blizzard needs to say something concrete on the issue regarding each game or overall (they need to do that with a lot of things).

Oh damn. I haven’t figured out how to open a second copy yet without software.

The issue is getting a second game to launch. It doesn’t work like any other Blizzard game so you can’t multibox. As someone who has multiboxed before on WoW and Diablo 3. I don’t own a second copy of D2R so I can’t test getting the game to work on the same pc.

A friend opens his mule account under a second Windows account like we did with the original game. And while “technically” that’s software (here I go splitting hairs lmao) it’s nothing additional like an outside program or some kind of fancy keybinding. It’s an inefficient alt-tab.

People are using something though because I’ve seen games with 4+ of the same person running things. I don’t trust that stuff. I wouldn’t dare step outside of the very basic of Windows and Blizz Launcher commands to do it.

Also, sorry for assuming where your question was heading.

I mean I know what they’re using and it’s definitely software.

I thought it had to be. The game takes too many resources to open multiple Windows accounts like that. My friends computer has a lot of issues doing that. I figure mine would too. I don’t have a $3,000 rig lol.
