They changed how Diablo clone spawns so it’s way easier to get one now.
But it’s mainly dupers spawning diablo clone whenever they feel like doing so. It’s a broken game still. The developers could make the ring more common and have NPC’s differentiate from legit to replicated SoJ’s today if they wanted to. But they won’t. It’s never going to happen as far as I see it.

to who the OP? I mean clone diablo did spawn twice in a row on day 3 of the ladder reset in NA.
Yes, cuz people running much better bots, decided to private walk for themselves, to make even more money off their bots. Had nothing to do with dupes. Streamers were able to crowd fund fairly easily a walk on day 4 last ladder. With the things these new bots do I’m surprised they didn’t walk sooner tbh.

I wish they would just change declone to a super rare spawn, maybe as rare as a vex or something. That you’ll just encounter him in a game randomly. This system and the previous one are both pretty stupid.
I mean if they’re willing to utterly change the game by adding sunders and terror zones, this should be a very easy fix. Right now the best way to get an anni is to park your character on the Asian server or something overnight, then wake up and kill dclone. It’s dumb.
If you think about the origin of how dclone spawn, you know this company has always been dogwater when dealing with abusers. Who makes an event to clear out duplicated items? lmfao.
While I wish anni’s retained value, I’m glad it isn’t like before where clowns were controlling the walks for the most part. But now that these botters are organizing, and rushing in on walks a bit of that is taking over, though, it doesn’t last anywhere near as long as the private groups used to control it way back when.

now you can just go to discord of dclone hunters and just lurk and you eventually get your anni
dclone spawm is now in every game in a realm instead of every game on an IP of said realm. (although Hardcore and nonlader no longer share walks of an IP like they did on LOD.
also… there are dupers… and botters

Actually you could get into walks back then if you really worked at it. Issue is I don’t think a lot of people knew very much about it. Like they didn’t know they needed to get into the walks. Didn’t know about the IPs. And probably didn’t farm well enough to have a soj to spare. Hell most now can’t even piece together a decent build over 4 months.

It was just another thing to do back then, but I seriously think a lot of people didn’t know they could participate. Not all walking groups were evil.
Dclone back then was harder IIRC. Nowadays I would think most classes could destroy him. Maybe if you caught the Day 4 walk it might be hard, but on the forums and streams there are plenty of people willing to help you.
I never even bothered with cannot be healed. Just rejuvs and I was good. Though maybe some slower killing classes might need it if they were still undergeared.

It’s the same old DClone, people have figured out that Smite + CB is broken. I do like how everyone assumes the SoJs come from duping when it’s just botting. It’s not hard to farm SoJs, you target NM Andy until one drops. Sic a bot on a NM Andy run and come back to SoJs.
Why do people assume it’s possible to hop on bnet and just start duping items? There’s no shot without so much trial and error and troubleshooting that even Blizzard will bother to ban them.
Yup they don’t know how to do the math, so they think getting SOJS is something crazy. If a bot does NM andy it takes approx 1 day to get a SOJ. If you were running 200 bots which some are that is a walk a day. Though obviously they’re not just farming NM andy and that is the optimal portion which is why we have a dclone going down on Day4 instead of Day1. Why not just farm NM andy? Because Anni and a dclone walk even for someone who would get 200 dclones wouldn’t be as worthwhile when you think about how much less you’d find over those days because NM andy’s drops are weak. Sojs and Magefists isn’t a way to run a RMT site.
I think they assume that people are duping because of the lag. They attribute that to the old lag dupe method that was patched out long ago in LOD. When the servers lagged on launch did everyone assume it was dupes? Maybe I dunno, but they just don’t like using any logic in what they see. They just spout out random BS as fact. Hell look at the people talking in other threads about dupes. Almost all of them don’t know the mechanics behind it and what it can output. They just jabber on so they can seem like they know what they’re talking about?
Now, I won’t say there isn’t a chance that duping wont return. But they were very on top of the other dogwater dupe method that came out, so perhaps they’ve got a flag in the system when duplicate ID’d items happen in the game. Or perhaps we just got lucky and that was the one time someone was paying attention. I could easily see a dupe method falling through the crack just like the botting situation now.
There are also places to “most trick” dclone which makes it way easier for casters.
