I think i found the thread, but all the responses say that it just shows disappearing items - which could well be a memory leak.

They need to patch fix this ASAP. This will literally ruin the game. You canât trust any trades.
SSF online ladder fixes it for those who want to play it. Also, goodbye third party sites, imagine.

Maybe in a case where they had the duped AND the original with them. Hitting ppl with duped items would only hurt those twice that were suckered into trading one.

It would be the same without jsp, only that you would have items poofing before you learn about it.
You guys are really petty, maybe thatâs why you need jsp to blame everything wrong with the game on the site.

Yeah. I stopped trading all together in D2 LoD after Griffon with facet poofed within a day of trading it. I was also away from the game almost a year b4 I returned to it again. I was kind of hoping this would never become an issue with D2R. Sill hoping people were wrong and there was no duping.
It is their #1 go to as an excuse. Meanwhile that same person who maybe couldnât do that on JSP would now be doing it in game trading enigma for shako + ohm, and now theyâd be the proud owner of one poofed enigma.
From what I read about the poofing item it seems all super fishy. The person who sold all of the enigmas honestly I hope wouldnât be that stupid, in knowing that there is an issue. He claimed that he bought them all super cheap iirc. So chances are there is some sort of method though Iâm not sure what the goal is if youâre selling poofable gear. Just be careful with big ticket items for now and see whats up.

What a terrible thing, and you can get around it by making runewords etc - so they will never leave the economy.

We dealt with poofing items back in LoD due to them being duped. There were methods to mitigate it in some ways, but the one time Rust Storm was fully run, it wiped them all. I will not regive any of those methods so donât bother asking.
Do you even know the history of the admin of that site? Maybe take a look and then you will see why many people will never stop hurling crap in that general direction.

No. The admin has a very tainted history. And well deserved. It is those that use jsp that are the issue, not people that donât.
Just remember if you end up with an item you think is duped the one that goes âpoofâ is the last to save against the server they donât all go âpoofâ. Good old rust storm proofing seems to back on the menu

No it wont, if its a finished runeword thats duped they just have to scan for duplicate item IDâs and everyone under the last person to leave a game will lose it, which actually means the real runeword could go poof while the duped one stays as the last one.A finished runeword gets a unique item ID, in LOD they would dupe unfinished runewords(because an unfinished runeword doesnt have a unique item ID yet til the last rune was put in) with the last rune in the trade windows dupe and just finish the runeword.if thats the case it will ruin the value of runewords but they would still technically be legit by item IDâs added to each finished runeword when the last rune was added for a new item ID which would be different per finished runeword
wouldnt be fair if you bought one and didnt know it was duped and got banned for nothing
