Diablo 2 Resurrected pre-orders in China , weak pay to win

good job blizzard :-1: d2 25 anniversary :joy:

Blizzard has launched Diablo 2 Resurrected pre-orders in China, offering exclusive pay-to-win bonuses like two Stone of Jordan rings, a 30% experience and gold boost for 30 days, extra stash tabs, and unique Chinese server items. These perks enhance early gameplay and highlight regional market differences.

Blizzard has opened pre-orders for Diablo 2 Resurrected in China, and the bonuses are highly advantageous to people who spend more money.

Diablo 2 Resurrected is coming to China, and gamers who pre-order the deluxe or ultimate packs will get a distinct head start. The deluxe pack gives Chinese players access to one of the most powerful items in the entire game right at the start–the Stone of Jordan, a ring so valuable that people can play the game for years and never find one. And these bonuses actually give you two SoJs that can be accessed immediately.

The pay-to-win bonuses don’t end there. Most games give you a starter pack, but having played Diablo 2 for so long, I can say that these bonuses are much more pronounced than other games. The deluxe edition also includes a 30% buff to experience and gold that lasts for a full 30 days, and a bunch of smaller runes that are tremendously useful for early-level runewords. All of these things will dramatically improve the day one user experience.

There is also the added bonus of an extra stash tab for anyone who pre-orders the game from now until August 27. Diablo 2 is largely a game about managing resources, and a big part of that is managing stash space, so this freebie has immediate and continual benefits for players.

China is also getting an exclusive set of items that will only be available on Chinese servers. If you buy the ultimate pack, you get the set.

These bonuses seem to further bifurcate Western and Chinese games markets, as we often see two versions of the same game being delivered to these geographies. That appears to be the case with Diablo 2 Resurrected, which is clearly bound by different balancing rules and mechanics than its Western predecessor.

Blizzard does business in China through domestic intermediary NetEase, who distributes and releases localized, law-compliant versions of Blizzard games to Chinese audiences tweaktown

I’m not sure why you’re complaining.

1: It will be an isolated realm.

2: China is largely an untapped market for this game, so it will bring in a surge of money for the game in general, which may even help bring some updates to our version of the game.

So put your cheese and whine down, relax, wait and see what happens.

i will not deny is got some good for hope only to have some update nothing sure

, but also with a lot of bad
future ptw and mtx , blizzards make the same garbage with wow and classic wow

. after you buy a blizzard product you are left behind with a broken game with 2 year no update maybe more
also with fake 25 anniversary ect… selling diablo 2 new full :roll_eyes:set

Players are going to pay to win regardless. Just in case you’ve been living under a rock, there have been plenty of 3rd party shops selling items for the past two+ decades the game has existed. Would you rather the players get that money, or Blizzard get that money and potentially use it to further support the game?

yep because blizzard encourage this behavior

player like you be ok with this, are weak player with no integrity

this is why blizzard game are a most dead vs the old day and all dev making this game are already leave

come on guys

we all know that the game starts after you beat hell !

what difference does it make if you have +2 to all skills before hell ? these things matter when you come to optimize your char… and by then they will be missing more than one or two things

regarding the 30% exp boost… we all know that exp gain matters the further you are in the game… typically after lvl 95… they are not getting this

so yeah… these gifts are mirrors and beads for the natives…

Just play project diablo 2 if want new stuff let blizzard have china

it always start somewhere and after always end out of control the same of cancer

remember wow or black desert online

now ppl don’t panic i’m quite sure D2R-China is going to be a separate realm that will never be crossplayable with the rest of the world, same as it was with D2:LoD their version was a total heresy regarding what was sold over in the western world and only ever launched on sale starting from 2005… the good news for western ppl is that at least major portion of chineese standard players and a unknown portion of Chineese botters are now going to move off of western servers and go play on D2R:China servers… that literally means a great relief for western servers, though there’s no guarantee that botters will be gone off western servers, the strain on them will be significantly reduced, and that means less server crashes, and overall improved game stability, since most Chineese will simply now play on their ā€œturfā€, and some portion of botters will moove to pray on the home market. which in general is more potent, as there are going to be more players ( and i mean by a llllloooootttt), and statistically each of them more prone to spend ca$h on in game items, than the average player from the west ( so called cultural difference), given the combined fact of whooping higher amount of players and that each one of those players is more likely to spend money on in game items, highly suggests that a certain portion of botters are going to switch to D2R:China… even european botters might want to try and grab a piece of the cake themselves…

all in all

IF blizz won’t just merge chineese realms with the rest of the realms, (a.k.a so that chineese players won’t just buy a ultimate game copy to sell all the free in game stuff to the western servers [as this alone could turn net profit] ), so unless this happens, there are going to be bright sides of this event, like less strain on western servers… You do have to take that under consideration as well.

You and me both. I don’t wanna be playing a version of the game where I get all these buffs and perks.
Standard experience for me because I want to evaluate the games balance.

People pay for the deluxe version and recieve all these perks, and then you see them crying about the game being too easy. Maybe cause you’re playing it with the training wheels they sold you for extra $$.
