The game is constantly crashing, even worse then when it was in open beta…
At times I can’t even get out of town before it happens. Countess runs, getting horadric staff headpeice and similar stuff is impossible, thus actually playing and progressing is impossible and when I asked for a refund I’ve been told I have too much gametime… Like 25% of it is proper game time while the rest is trying to acomplish something without a crash ruining any progress made trough a level.
I have:
I7 4770k
2080 super
16gb ddr33
3440 x 1440
windows 10
Reinstalled the game once, didn’t help.
I updated to the latest nvidia game ready drivers that even have D2R as part of the discription. I was able to play some 1-2 hours without a crash.
The next day when I went to play it started crashing again.
Checked the forums and some people suggested that dynamic screen resolution helped them.
Turned it on and didn’t have a crash for an hour or so.
Today it started crashing again and it’s worse then ever, can’t even reach maggot lair (start from far oasis waypoint)…
I had HWMonitor up and cpu and gpu usage % and temperatures look normal, not even hitting 100% due to a FPS limit I have set ingame.
This is annoying as hell… can’t get a refund and can’t play…
im playing on:
i5 intel
8gb ram
radeon pro 560
windows 10
at the lowest settings possible and i cant even join a game without it auto crashinging every time without an error code. Ive tried all the driver updates and the dynamic screen stuff and nothing works. Its by far the worst experience ive ever had with a new game and to see ppl with much better set ups than me with the same or worse issues is unacceptable. Ive yet to see a “blue” response to any of these posts within the requirements to run the game only to the ones that arnt and they tell the ppl to request a refund…
Yeah the situation is depressing, i’ve been rejected a refund and can’t properly play either. I don’t even get any kind of error code and when tried to troubleshoot trough a ticket i’ve been refered to useless ‘‘guides’’ and not had any actual proper advice even after I submited my dxdigi and msinfo files…
same story, friend and I will sometimes be able to play fine for 8+ hours with no crashes, other times it’s crashing multiple times in an hour, also seemingly at random (sitting at character select, sitting in lobby, sitting in town, any loading screen). I have also had about 4-5 instances of the game just locking up which is way scarier than the crashes when playing hardcore, because the crashes at least disconnect you right away; the freezes do not.
Ryzen 7 3700x
16GB
2070 super
Win10
2560x1440@144Hz display
I had the game installed on an HDD originally because I wasn’t expecting the load times to be so bad, installing it on my m.2 just to see if it helps for some reason…
I have went out and purchased a brand new computer that meets the qualifications of the game, and then some. Now that I have this unit, I STILL am unable to play the game because of the crashes. My ticket and emails to Blizz are unanswered. The last patch was supposed to have fixed the issues, but sadly it didn’t. It kind of makes me regret the pre-order of the game.
Same problems, either locking my system and demanding a power rest or simply dumping back to desktop with no message of any kind. Very frustrating and disappointing. Absolute worse release I have ever gotten from a once fine company. I have been playing since the initial release of warcraft, the original and was a beta tester on the original WOW. Been what some would call a fanboy for over 20 years, but no more. This is simply not acceptable.
Constant crashing i get one or 2 cow games try going to act 5 and it crashes sometimes ill get through half a baal run if im lucky before another crash
computers up to date above recommended pritty sad not being able to enjoy such a great game hope bilzzard can fix this sooner then later…
I was so happy that after almost 2 weeks of waiting I am finally able to play the game thanks to the AVX patch, but since I entered Act II with my Amazon the game crashes several times per hour. It usually happens when teleporting back to town via portal or waypoint, or when starting the game.
Application crashes without any error code or any meaningful log entry within blz-log.txt
I noticed that D2R is extremely sensitive to other running applications, such as Google Chrome, and from crash behaviour, it seems like it is not handling allocated memory correctly.
Playing on Ryzen R95950x 16 @ 4.4Ghz , 64 gb ram @ 3400 mhz , VGA RTX3090, the game is crashing when i go and farm @ arcane sanctuary , and everytime when i kill shenk and the meteor starts to fall…
I’ve also noticed that D2R is very sensitive to other apps like Chrome and I agree that something seems weird about the memory. My crashes are extremely random, sometimes OK for hours, sometimes crashes every 20 minutes. Town portals and waypoints crash more often but sometimes just walking around. I had one case where it was crashing every minute but eventually figured out that my other programs were running slow even after D2R had supposedly stopped. I restarted my computer and was good for c. 2 hours after that. It sure looked like D2R had grabbed some memory and not let go.
Also Act II and III are worse than Act I and I had no trouble at all until the very first patch. Played all day day after release with no crashes at all.
