Who remembers when cold sors, bowazon and whirlwind barb where the way to go in diablo 2 ? Who wud like a diablo 2 game without runewords?

How about bliz starts of with 1.09 no runewords. And later add the 1.10(14) to keep the game refreshed.

For me personally and i most capatilize “PERSONALLY” version 1.09 was the best diablo 2 version ever. No runewords, gears like grandfather/windforce/oculus/stormshield where the things to get, and how much fun was it to play with a cold sors / ww barb / bowazon ? Immense fun. I remember back in the day when 1.10 hit many players didnt like the game changes. I believe the true diablo 2 experience is the 1.09 patch.

You may like it better but people would just refund and wait for the patches to catch up. So they will come pretty fast and your “happy time” will last way less than 2 weeks. Trust me.

do u know how long it takes to farm, decent gear ? or to even clear hell ? im not sure u have played the game. 2 weeks wil get u in nightmare where u run for ur life

I would certainly not play 1.09 because 1.10 introduced so many improvents.

Why? It makes no sense, only small minority of player base play 1.09 anyway. Not to mention that we already have 1.14

Devs even said that they will start from current version. Sorry but your idea is too crazy :slight_smile:

I remember, but I also remember how bad druid was in 1.09, werewolf druid was the best build then summoner was laughable, elemental druids were meh.

1.09 had runewords, just not the OP ones from 1.10

I honestly think they needed to go through all patches from d2 classic to expansion! So many people never got to play pre LOD! River runs , ice blinks , spear barbs , dual leech rings and amulets! No rune words or jewels just good old fashion d2! When items didn’t have lev req!! Level one Necro 2 sojs , eye of E , Umes wand , Lenymo, Tarn when you had enough str ,frosties when you had the str etc! They should have gone through the entire profession how rhe hell am I suppose to get a V.08 Ark Valor with broken Vit

I am currently playing single player on 1.13

Actually if I was blizzard I would have put the first season as 1.08, second as 1.09, then jumped to 1.14

We could really use those 08 boots and ammys

Or they can reintroduce them in later patches.

It might only be me, but I somehow think that ruining NL PvP by making a lot of S Tier gear unavailable to everyone who is late to the party is a really bad idea.

Yes it does, just go read patch notes, there is huge list of changes which made game a lot better.
