Description:
By taking off my firedefence before entering the building Diablo spawns, so totally outside. Then enter and fight all the way up. Then AFTER Diablo spawned, i portalled out, putted all my fire resistance back on again and portalled back in. Beating diablo was very easy then. not took me a minute. merc also survived easely.
This works on the first fight with a boss. so not 2nd meeting or higher. On the firsat fight the statistics are set. Apparently set considering the DEFENCE of the char. at the moment of spawning. so for Diablo the chars FIRE DEFENCE is what adjusts Diablo’s firtepower aparently. putting fireresistance back on after the spawning does not change the stats anymore. I think Blizzard should make some note of previous statistics of the char, especially when that changes a lot before entering th place where the boss spawns!!
Now i found out it is not only working on bosses, but on a lot more places!! It also works on entering a new level. When you take off your gear and enter and then put it back on again when inside that new level, you can then kill the monsters even without a weapon!! Walk in the park! so i think Blizzard should stop this from working this way in the next upgrade and soon i think. its no fun but for people that like leveling done easely. Diablo exists for 20++ years? i wonder why noboddy reported it before…
I mean… I think the responses to your other posts should have been enough but just to really nail the point home… think of it this way.
IF this were true (it isn’t), then EVERY SPEEDRUNNER would be using this strategy. These are people who try to beat the game as fast as possible by ANY MEANS NECESSARY (within their given rulesets). Do you really think they wouldn’t employ this strategy if it were something real? Go watch some speedruns of this game. Nobody does it. This isn’t some insane or difficult strategy discovery after 20 years… it’s just nonsense.
As for evidence… if you want to be taken seriously you need to show a before and after. You’re claiming it only works on the first time. Okay then, level a single player character and get to Diablo. Then duplicate your save file (you can do this because it’s single player). Now you can do Diablo as many times as you’d like as long as you keep making a copy and it will be the “first time” every time. Let’s see some back to back or side to side comparison of the time difference using the same character.
Your Catacombs video is a complete waste of time. Any level 17 Paladin with Holy Fire can punch things to death. Holy Fire adds damage to your punch… This aside, you spend more time running around clicking EVERY… SINGLE… THING. Nobody cares about your 2 Os Scale Mail “upgrade”…
Anyways. Take my advice or don’t, I don’t care, but nobody is taking you seriously for very good reason.
I watched your video, there is nothing speacial in it, you are taking dmg you should be taking, i saw mobs doing their normal dmg to you. Yes you kill stuff easy, but thats because holy fire is simply strong at normal. Nothing a normal in video supporting your claim.
I was also verry surprized that this worked!!. I just tell in this forum what i HAVE EXPERIENCED. If others didnt tell abouth it, it does not mean they dont use it … aint it?. One wonders why some ppl are so hostile!!
Just try it, with a char that is somewhere for A FIRTS TIME. the stats are set on the first visit to a lvl, cave, boss. etc So 2nd or more the statistics will not change much.
Higher lvl /gear etc mostly only brings some more monsters of the same lvl as set on first visist!!

this is my 1st and only online char. On normal lvl. so is not in hell yet. will take some time. I made this char in Normal, because some ppl say Nightmare and Hell have glitches, that could make this way to easy lvlvling possible. I am now lvling this char. He will meet Andariel soon. So then i have a video to show easy bossfighting.
also did another video, to show i can also do catacomsbs lvl3 wirthout Holy Fire and also this time NO WEAPON on !!!, as some pll say its only showing holy fire is strong.
I dont think that is quite normal! if that would be normal, diablo II would be a walk in the park , but that is certainly not the case.
I think its a glitch that should be solved!!
Your dedication to trying to prove complete nonsense is astounding… This video still proves nothing. It’s act 1 normal, on a Paladin with a mercenary. This is all to be expected.
Again, no back-to-back footage for comparison so there are really no differences to be objectively compared.
You know who else does this? FLAT EARTHERS. Proves nothing. Please look up the definitions of “Subjective” vs “Objective” Reality and consult your local psychologist for help…

I made a video of the killing of Andariel. I never lifted even a finger! I never even hit her and was out of the way most. My merc killed her!! You can say that’s normal, but i dont think soo! If that was normal, it would be booooooring to play Diablo II. Its a glitch that should bne solved!
Yeah. I’m not sure exactly where the character files get saved. It will depend on your OS (Windows, Mac, Linux). You can google this information. The .d2s file is the important file with all of your character info. There will be a few others with different extensions that you could also copy but are less important because they will auto-generate.
Because you’re wasting everyone’s time and posting useless stuff as a bug. Spam like this and other “not a bug” posts from countless people make the real bug posts harder to find and less likely Blizzard will notice them.
Again, you’re living in your own subjective world but this is not the objective reality. Let’s list some facts and see if you can piece it together…
This is Act 1 NORMAL. Normal is not hard, especially Act 1.
You are a Paladin. Paladins are OP.
You are using Holy Fire aura, which is very overpowered at lower levels, that’s why every guide and every speedrun says to use it for leveling as a Paladin.
Andariel is weak to fire, she has -50 Fire Resistance, even on Hell.
Your merc did not do the most damage to her. Your Holy Fire did.
Didn’t pay that close of attention because this is a waste of time but your merc is probably also using Fire Arrow, again Andy weak to fire…
Let me also list all of the things you failed to do…
You didn’t show your character tab to prove you’re a low level.
You didn’t show the level of your Holy Fire.
You didn’t show your merc’s gear.
You didn’t show yourself entering Catacombs Level 4, which is supposedly the thing that triggers this whole bug.
You didn’t show any back-to-back or side-by-side footage comparing kill speeds.
Of course, there are countless ways you can doctor all of these things in a video, such as simply setting players 8 for one and players 1 for the other, so even then I probably wouldn’t trust it coming from you…
If Diablo II is easy then why are you still in Act 1 normal after an entire week? What experience do you have to make such claims? Is this your first character? Because it seems like it. Why do you, who have barely played this game, think you know how difficult it should or shouldn’t be? Get to Hell and tell me how well your Holy Fire does against Diablo.
Personally, I don’t think this game is all that hard tbh – at least not softcore. And especially not ACT 1 NORMAL. I’ve been playing this game on and off for 20 years so I think I know a thing or 2. I would describe it as “unforgiving” perhaps, due to things like experience penalties and some potentially nasty combos, but not hard.
I’m being far kinder to you than most people and I’ve already spent enough time trying to explain basic things to you. I won’t continue to bump your post anymore. I can only conclude that you’re either very young, really dumb, or just plain trolling. GL HF and FFS do some research.
