Denied a refund. So its chargeback time

Are you able to hit ctrl+alt+delete to go into task menager and close d2 that way? Im not a big fan of hitting power when pc is running with out proper shutdown.

There is also event viewer in windows. That logs all errors on pc. Hit start and search for it. It may help you narrow down what file is causing crashes

Dang, I hope you manage to get this fixed so that you can enjoy just the normal crashing with us!

It was the GPU! Still D2’s fault but I figured it out. So the fan curve has always been weird with the 5700 XT. When D2 normally crashes it took my GPU settings with it. So that includes my fan / power curve which kept the GPU from overheating. I totally for got about that so when I ran FurMark and it instantly crashed I remembered to check the fan settings and crank them up. When I did no more crashes.

LMAO dramatic much? Stolen money? hahahahha Oh man, I love these forums as they give me good laughs.

Yeah. It’s nice when people are helpful. Now I only have the ā€œnormalā€ problems everyone else is having. But the game is somewhat playable. Still unacceptable. But playable.

Just for reference I have a R7 3800X and a 5600XT (so your GPU is better than mine) and I’ve had very few issues running either the open beta or the live game, over the course of probably 2-3 different Radeon graphics driver versions. I think I had a total of 1 or 2 crashes on the initial release version, but it’s been quite stable since. I’m running a 2 monitor setup and don’t have much customized in the AMD side of things though.

EDIT: I read the rest of the thread and saw that you got it resolved, so that’s great! Interesting about the fan curve issues, though! My 5600 XT fans haven’t spun more than 1/3rd of the ā€œgraphā€ that the drivers show, but it also hasn’t been overheating, so I haven’t worried about it, but now you’ve got me wondering.

I did! Now I only have normal D2 Server problems. It’s nice to be in the club.

I wont be one of those people who will make a snarky comment like ā€œdont let a door hit you blah blahā€

I am a hardcore gamer from the 2000s, I am used to being pushed around by devs, being a guinea pig for a lot of their games and enduring broken and ā€œunder development projectsā€ but this is ridiculous. Blizzard essentially released a broken alpha state of the game, took the money and ran.

Glad you were able to fix your problem. Happy gaming.

Glad you figured it out! Welcome to the queue fest.

but it’s totally fine to refuse refunds for a game that crashes every time you play it?

The game crashes due to a bug in the data packets of ambient sounds. This has been a problem for blizzard for 19 years.

People like this disgust me. They will talk down on you as if you haven’t exhausted all options then suck on the teet of ing corporate america.
