Dclone has to move away from soj and be based on unique item sold

Mechanic A)

  • Each unique/set item are held a point value based on rarity something like Qlvl*ilvl

  • Selling uniques/set to vendor gambling window goes toward the Pandemonium Event counter , gambling window ensures that the item is lost forever

  • If you are the one that triggers the event, Dclone spawns in your game, X number of random game that have Baal quest completed see the event trigger as well

Mechanic B)

  • each Unique/set have a set % chance of triggering the even ( ie: mang song= 30%…rixot keen= 0.01%)

  • Sell uniques/set to vendor gambling window for a chance to trigger the Pandemonium Event, gambling window ensures that the item is lost forever

  • If you are the one that triggers the event, Dclone spawns in your game, X number of random game that have Baal quest completed see the event trigger as well

VoilĂ ! Now you have a way so that everybody, rich and poor can participate in

Every unique/set item that drop now has a value/meaning and you got a sink/purpose for those items rather than leaving most of them on the ground

That Eth Griffon you find isn’t completely useless anymore, it could exponentially increases your chances of spawning Dclone due to its rarity

There is no reason anymore to sink duped soj, if this stays based on soj, not only only rich people will be able to participate which would kill the community event aspect of it but it would incite people to actually dupe soj to feed the mechanic lol Blizzard should learn from the Indian cobra bounty failure

I’d rather it still be rare, but not as rare as it is now. Something like every 75-140 SoJs identified spawns it, rather than ones being sold.

inb4 rain man gets up in here and explains how this would ruin the game as we know it

I agree

And how is 0.01% chance not rare lol

Blizzard can’t even keep bots out of World of Warcraft what makes you think that bots won’t be farming sojs in a couple months? hell they will probably find a dupe in that time aswell.

Base it on selling a nagelring, hawkmail, isenharts… lots of choices

Pretty much the suggestion
Every unique or set items
But the %of chance to spawn is based on the rarity of that item, it would give a bit of value to crappy unique items, bring back some excitement into finding them

I am assuming they are already farming d2r.

Most likely
but I don’t get why the topic of bots Has been brougth here since the issue that lead to soj being the vector of Dclone was never farming but rather duplicating

Anihilus was always supposed to be extremely rare. Everyone had one back then because 99.99% of them were dupes or were spawned using duped SoJs.

Sure but what’s the point of this intervention

I think it should be by SoJ’s found instead of sold mainly because not everyone is going to sell their SoJ’s, but rather use them. So, this idea seems more reasonable!

I disagree, SOJs are perfectly fine to be used like they are now, make annis super rare again, and simply better fight dupes and spambot, who are ruinning this game and where nothing seem to be done about it.

I expect them to make it achievable come Ladder Season 1.

Sojs are fine, the price should be high in terms of what item you sell…

But why not making a real endgame content out if it, such as uber or like some mods did?

Selling sojs to vendors was always a strange concept for an endgame imo. Replacing this with selling other stuff doesn’t make it better. That’s proposal is just gambling.

I would prefer proper content around it.

How making it soj rather than uniques make it much rarer?

Wrong, it instead incentivize people to dupe since there is this is a dumb system, it gives a reason to dupe soj and allows for clean laundering of them lol

whats the problem with the soj`? Anni is not required at all, torch is ez to farm with the right characters.
Anni is something the top 5% are owning, later in ladder you will can buy these things for like 1pul. In Ladder it was rare for ever (besides botted and duped ).

I think its fine that we have something to aim for in long term.

Or you can make it for every 20 sold Tyraels might, better?

Because SOJ is already an unique, sorry if you didn’t knew.

No it doesn’t incentive to dupe. You’re logic is flawed, because people would still dupe whatever it take to spawn dclone, or find a way to automate the process. Soj is a rare unique, and if Blizz would do a better job at using AI and big data to analyze people stash and item ID’s and fix that, perhaps we would have a better experience, and it wouldn’t matter that you would have from time to time people who would find bug and dupe a few items, because that would be quickly identified, and dealt with and these items would instant vanish, that it and that all. Keeping track of large data set… this isn’t 2001, this is 2021, we’re able to do that.

Do you have any experience in software or game development ? It would help you to comprehend the actual problem here.

Lol so much as hominem and ignorance in one reply

On top of that you didn’t answer to my questions
