20% Faster Run/Walk

+80 Defense
10% To Maximum Fire Resist
Fire absorb 10%
70-100% Extra Gold From Monsters
+5 To Light Radius
Changes detail:
-
doubled the values unchanged affixes
-
kept movement speed the same because of Blaze new speed perk
-
changes fire resist to fire absorb since it’s the superior version
-
wanted to add corpse explosion “per steps” but don’t want it hard to create, struck acts the closest because when you walk, your defence is zero and block is 1/3rd, therefor more likely to get hit
-
why corpse explosion? “Inferno”+ “stride”… so I wanted steps that generate inferno, but the D2 one is lacklustre and clunky. So thethe closest thing was Diablo 1 Inferno spell

I feel that in this form, this pair of boots could rival gore/goblin’s cb and treks for melee build due to its new ctc which makes getting hit a perk and adds some aoe when doing so. It’s also done in a way where melee’s flaw resides, “closing the gap”. Melee is weaker than caster because cast can attack who ever they want instantly on the screen, but melee have to walk toward them, making them slower and less efficient

As always, values# are there for demonstration purpose, it’s the affixes, mechanics & themes that are the topic

If you want a certain Unique to be reworked through the upgrade system, please share which one, it’ll be fun to thinker on how to make it more interesting and endgame viable

Recap on what the Unique upgrade rework is:
Lore wise, there is no such thing as norm/nm/hell as much as normal/exceptional/elite. Everything is on the same tier, so it makes sense that if there is an elite version of Death web there is an elite version of Ice blink with hell capabilities
and set that can be upgrade now have alternate versions
Meaning a Normal Unique now has a Exceptional and elite version
Tldr: Hell is the real difficulty, norm and NM are tuned down difficulty to train and progress. Your character when you first spawn in hell A1 is the start of the real story. Meaning all previous tiers, norm& exceptional, are tuned down. Upgrade recipe allows them to gain back their true nature
