I vote for act 6, the finishing off of baals minions before the calm.
Heh, Blizzard? Give? You’re kidding, right? They can’t even move Cain back to the A5 stash, which would take them a whole two minutes. Creating an expansion is a significant amount of work. They have shareholders to woo, mega bonuses to earn for their CEO and board of directors… Maybe for $20 to $30, they’ll give us an expansion.
Besides, what storyline material do they have to work with for this expansion? The gap between the end of D2 LoD and Diablo 3 is filled by Diablo Immortal.
Storyline wise, Diablo 2 has been done for quite a while. If you seek new storyline content, you’re looking for a new game.
No big changes to Diablo 2 Ressurected, I like it as it is.
Ignore every wannabe Diablo game made after Diablo 2 and sky is the limit.
I want Act 6, 7, 8, and 9.
Since they are catering to the casuals, in those new “Diablo” games, this is the least that they can do.
The Diablo II story ends at a point where there’s no credible antagonist left to combat the characters. Any opponent you make up at that point is going to feel incredibly contrived.
There’s probably ways to make some new content fit. A new act isn’t that way.
I would pay 100$. Take my money.
They could do a epilogue where the character faces himself and dies, bringing the entire world down with him. It would pay homage to the rest of the games that killed the series.
For an expansion, about the only thing that makes sense to me would be returning to Act 4 and fleshing it out further. Maybe it could unlock after Act 5.
It could involve the demons going berserk in the power vacuum and attacking the Pandemonium fortress which has to be defended. Or we could go into the Hellish domains of Andariel and Duriel to make sure they are truly destroyed/banished since they had no soulstones to destroy like the Prime Evils did.
In addition, or as part of it, they could add a new endgame zone/mode like Cows or Ubers that might function as some semblance of an actual endgame. Maybe like an endless mega-dungeon or something.
There’s no story to put in acts. Diablo Immortal takes time after D2 and works as continuation. Also because you can switch to old graphics they won’t add any new textures, models etc.
It isn’t a question of can’t. Its “won’t.” The answer of why is simple; the game has made its money. Its done. Maintenance time. Season reset on schedule. No cash shop. No services. No monthly sub. Not nearly enough players to justify the ad revenue.
BRO, I’d buy a d2r expansion for 200 bucks, let alone 30 lol. Just give us more d2r content, it’s one of the best arpgs ever made (if not the absolute best).
i will be ok if they hire Senpai team and release PD2 as a new expansion on D2R engine.
I would pay a lot for this.
a 100 level dungeon where each level gets harder and the first level is harder than anything in or has ever been in the game
that would be legit
Don’t ruin D2 with modern expansions for the love of god.
Add the new expansions or stuff as dlc for D4. D2 was finished 20+ years ago
Be careful what you wish for! Think about it, Blizzard…if history repeats…let’s see, D3. DI, D4……d2r act 6. Yowwwwiieeeee
I just want them to finish act 4.
A expansion for the 4 ppl left playing d2? Wont happen xD or u thinking the bots need new content?
Maybe a single huge map connecting all of the acts together with the goal of closing portals being used by the bosses to escape death.
