D2R support over?

Thank you for announcing Diablo Immortal closed beta which nobody cares about but 6 days has passed since last update and game is unplayable since forever now. How about fixing stuff here first?

You know they have more than 1 team right?

Then get those other teams to help fix it faster instead of making more useless products. Also anyone remembers Warcraft 3 Reforged? It is still lacking promised features.

After careful consideration, we have determined that we have already hit our revenue targets for Diablo 2 Resurrected, and so we have reallocated our resources to another project in order to improve our net income per employee (NIPE) for our next earnings report.

In short “thanks for the money nerds” gg.

How is DI a useless Product? Its a new game which most likely be a successful mobile game. No clue why u think d2 should prio. Also There is alot of ppl who care about DI. Just cause u dont it doesnt mean nobody does

Mutiple diablo projects. Have their own teams and goals.

Picking someone from d3, di, d4 wouldn’t help much d2r. Because they aren’t familiar with the code or framework.

Teams has their own expertises, while some folks from network/netcode behind the blizzard games most likely got involved with the team, doesn’t mean they can allocate all folks to the project. They have more than one game and services running under their wings.

Picking someone from other team and explain how the game and project works can take months for that individual produce something useful. Because they aren’t familiar with the code and neither how messy d2 code are.

As much as I’d like to agree with the sentiments about having separate teams, I believe the “message” the OP is attempting to convey is aimed toward those who prioritize resources.

And I’d have to agree their priorities are out of order. Not everyone plays games on their cell phones.

I think is a fair assumption that they’re doing that. di was in playable state several months ago. Is not like they didn’t planned the test for it after d2r launch months ago.

I mean, most of updates we receive were related to them trying to manage or fix the network issues since launch with several failures because they didn’t tried to solve before just used “paliatives”. If they come with another paliative right now folks would be pissed. That’s why this time they need to come with a proper solution not a half baked paliative.

Because the paliative right now, works. Just not the best or optimal way. Keeping the issue and add more paliatives is a recipe for disaster that happened not once but about 2-3 times already

the way they run the game im surprised theres 1 team at all

Nice hyperbole

that took 3 yrs to get to…for a mobile game.

they can make legit desktop games in that time.

Still working on it.

no one cares really…the truth is sad.

Ya should work great let get a bunch of mobile developers that may not even know the programming language d2r is written in and have THOSE guys fix it… That will work.

While we are at it I’ve been neglecting replacing the lifters in my pickup, I think I’ll hire a plumber to do it for me!!! I could hire a mechanic but why do that the plumber is just working on stupid pipes that I don’t care about.

Sadly, they have zero incentive to do anything for D2R, and they have an excuse for just about every reason not to.
Queues?

  • Oh, we are working on it. (They won’t need to though, numbers of players is already dropping

New features?

  • Oh, we cannot, we are staying true to the original. (Well, I’m a fan from the original days, no one has asked my opinion)

Fix old bugs and bad code like ai, follower pathing, weird lag, etc?

  • Oh, we cannot, we are staying true to the original. (Again, played D2 back in 2000, no one asked my opinion)

Ignore fans and, “fix,” things that weren’t broken, like Cain IDing items in the cube?

  • HAHAHAHAHA, we got your money, suck it nerds

This game will very shortly only be played by those that loved the original. It will get no more significant work done on it, because Blizzard has our money for it (and won’t give it back) and that is the only thing they care about.
Blizzard stopped caring about it’s community over a decade ago.

I moved on to new world (Amazon games). Hugh and beautiful game. I still check the forms here to see if things are getting better, but omg… I recommend ppl leave this dead end none fixer and have some real fun with all their free time.

Whats wrong? Don’t you have a phone?

Well of course it’ll be “successful”, its a mobile game… you can make almost anything “successful” when thrown onto mobile lol, but doesnt mean its gonna be good or quality, or fun
