D2:R Shared tabs

I thought the shared tabs were to move items between your different characters?

After trying for two hours, I have not been able to make that work.

What am I doing wrong (or are shared tabs not used for that purpose)?

If you could explain it to my 74-year brain, I would appreciate it.

Thanks.

First tab is personal tab belonging to the logged in character. The next three tabs are shared tabs. Meaning, if you put an item in it, all characters have access to that item. Shared tabs also have room for gold, if you want to transfer gold or save them from getting lost when (if) dying.

Some items are not shareable. Like quest items and the Horadric cube. No idea if there is other like that, named items for example, as I haven’t tried.

Char 1 : put some items in shared stash
Char 2 : take em out and use em
i usually do my first shared stash for runes, 2nd for gems, and last one for random stuff

Thanks all.

Will try again.

Offline characters can’t use items that an Online character is sharing and vice versa.

You probably have one character made online and one offline?

I checked and both were made online.

However, the problem is that if I don’t click the right option on top (Personal or Shared), it doesn’t work.

I guess they don’t realize that you can’t make old dogs learn new tricks .

So, here’s another question, has anyone tested whether or not the “/Players x” command works. Because with neither my amazon or druid, do I see any difference in the difficulty level. Going to try one more thing and then I’ll be back.

I killed a zombie in normal play, and a zombie with Players set to 7, either way I got 33 experience points. I saved and exited the game, reloaded, and then set it to 7 players.

The /playersx command has worked for me on SP. Keep in mind if the enemy has already spawned, it won’t change, but enemies that haven’t yet spawned will. So if you’re running out in the Blood Moor and you see a zombie, then you set players to 8, that zombie will still be on the default players 1 setting, but if you keep running around and find more enemies, they should be at the higher level. I believe this is true for both legacy D2 and DR2.

the PlayersX command ONLY works for offline characters/games. It does NOT work for online characters/games.

The Chat will give you feedback if you did it correct and its in effect.
Will say something like “Players SET to X”

I knew there was something missing after typing in the Players X Command.

Nice catch Dragonmaster.
