D2R on Steam/GOG?

I have D2R on my radar for a while, but I’m waiting for it o be released on Steam or GOG as I’m not interested in installing “yet another launcher” (battle.net) just to play single player game. Not to mention that Steam allows me to stream/play many games directly on Linux, which is quite comfortable for me and these launchers are just inferior in this regard.

Is there a chance that this will happen any time soon or is it better to not wait for this to happen and try to scratch this nostalgia itch by other means?

I thought D2R already is/was on steam…

anyways it is totally possible to play this game on linux heck there are tutorials on yt how to install and run it on steam deck with steamos. You should check those out…

Unfortunately it’s not. :frowning_face: But I hope that maybe someone from Blizzard reads this and perhaps puts the D2R on Steam for us to enjoy. Heck, I would not even care if the Steam version was more expensive compared to BN one…

I saw those, but TBH it usually is a huge pain compared to Steam which usually just works out of the box. And since I have quite limited time for gaming, I’d prefer spending that time playing the actual game instead of fighting BN launcher, WINE and everything else (not to mention the fact that it would probably break in a month). :slightly_smiling_face:
