D2R on PS5: stick deadzone makes game unplayable

Computer engineer here, have done lots of joystick tinkering through controller emulation/management software.

My PS5 controller has slight drift on the LS (~±0.05). However, most games have a deadzone of anywhere between ~0.10(radial) to 0.30. A common deadzone value in Rocket League, for example, is ~0.20-0.30.

In D2R, there seems to be no deadzone scaling for stick input, or if there is it’s very low (<0.05). On a console widely known to have stick drift issues without system-level deadzone management, playing D2R is impossible since your character and cursor will veer into the drift direction during gameplay. This is the case for me and it has sadly made the game unplayable, and a refund is not possible according to Sony. Please add a toggle for “high control” or, preferably, a slider for deadzones. This is present in most controller games and D2R should be no exception. Thanks a lot for reading!

I definitely support this idea.
I also play on PS5 and while my current controller is fine, I’ve gone through 3 of them already. It wouldn’t surprise me if this controller starts that drift nonsense sometime soon. It’d be nice to have a way to keep playing in that case.
