I have spent 5 months of progress playing Offline (since launch) leveling many characters on my PS4 Pro. Then I just recently managed to get my hands on a PS5 so I transferred my D2R saves from the PS4 to the PS5 and it does not pick up these save files on the PS5… Why is this? Surely I don’t have to commence from scratch on the PS5? At the moment I’ve dropped playing D2R all together because what I assumed was going to be a simple process of transferring my progress, has turned into a nightmare for me…
Am I doing something wrong or has this really not been implemented…? Is this same issue present for offline saves from Xbox One to the Xbox Series S/X as well? Will Blizzard ever do anything about this? At the moment I have lost all motivation playing D2R and knocking off some PS5 titles that interest me but I do wish to return to D2R and it would be awesome if this issue could be rectified in the near future…

I’m not 100% on this so I could be totally wrong.
But I think it has something to do with their being two versions of the game for ps4 and ps5. your saves are probably locked to the ps4 version. I think this is more a weird playstation thing than a blizzard one so I’m not sure there’s anything they could do. You’d probably be able to download the ps4 version of the game to your ps5 and get to your saves that way, but you still wouldnt be able to use them on the ps5 version of the game.
