D2R is a good remake

Yeah, I think Geezer has about twenty years on us. Accessibility is good for a man his age. While I want a skill bar for myself, I also push for it for my father in his 70s, who still plays this and D3 (pretty much ONLY D2 and D3).

While Llama wants to stroke his ego and believe this was his survey’s doing, this decision was probably made already. I believe this was something Blizzard officially surveyed themselves if I remember correctly, and has been a popular request, one that was even asked of PezRadar when he announced no ladder at launch and that SP would get Ladder only runewords.

100% agree. There is no way this change was this sudden from the recent survey. This has been one of the most popular and talked about changes talked about on every platform for several months.

I was against this change, but honestly, I think I will grow to like it.

One of my favorite people in the world is a casual player. He will only play very little, and as such would have really struggled to keep up every ladder.

This means we can play together on nonladder whenever we want, with the full item list available, to the end of time.

Yup. I was against this change, but now that it’s been announced, I’m actually looking forward to it. Imagine that.

It’s a remaster. Get over it.

Remaster/remake, they are just semantic arguments. To me, this is a remake, to you a remaster. Who cares.

It’s a remaster. It’s been stated by Blizzard. Get over it. It’s a fact - not an opinion. Grow up.

You forgot:
No TCP/IP support
3 Shared stash tabs, leading to in game storage space going from 88 to 440 small squares

They could announce ploot change tomorrow, and Healer will still troll by saying remaster grow up. I really hope you don’t main that role, most toxic healer ever. Probably let the tank die if he is wearing a glamour you dislike.

Again, semantics. There are many different definitions to these words. For me, with these vast changes, I consider this a remake. It’s fine if you and the devs feel otherwise.

You are getting off topic and making this situation personal. This game is a remaster and nothing anyone says here will change that fact. Move on.

Go home, yer drunk on yer own meds! Geezer and I don’t see eye to eye on things, but he is one of the most stable people to communicate with here on the forums. Mostly friendly banter here, shoo!

First, there is no uniform definition of what exactly remaster means in the video game industry. Secondly what changes in your mind would make the game a remake?

That’s really great and I appreciate the feedback, anyways, this game is a remaster. Fact. Next.

Just checked Rod’s twitter, looks like we will get some more in depth updates after Open Beta.

It wasn’t removed. To be clear a vignette was added. We’ll write a post explaining why probably after the Beta.

I’m not arguing that it isn’t a remaster, as I still believe it is, and Geezer accepts my friendly poking at him. You are being toxic, go away.

well as long as widescreen users don’t have an extended screen range on release, then widescreen support is fine. Its just the way it was first implemented that was clearly broken.

Doesn’t bother me. I gamed D2, D3, FF14 for years on a 21 inch 1080p monitor. Upgraded earlier this year to a 27 inch 4k monitor, just regular widescreen. I can understand though why those that played the Alpha and had full screen or those that were happy at initial reveal of ultra support would be upset, but most should get over it.
