Hi.
I have the “Expanded Stash MOD” for single player use installed in D2R. This MOD add 4 more stash tabs in game. It was working perfectly until the latest d2r update 1.7.90471. Now the 4 additional stash tabs became the repetition of the personal stash tab. I can’t access the items that have been saved on those tabs before.
Please Blizzard fix the latest update made to allow access to these additional tabs in offline mode to work again as its was before.
Thanks.
You choose to use some mod and want Blizzard to fix it?
The correct way is that the mod-maker fixes his stuff to work with the actual game.
This is not a MOD problem. The new patch that made this change to the game that cannot be fixed in the MOD itself.
See the developer explanation here: nexusmods .com/diablo2resurrected/mods/842
Do you seriously think that Blizzard will make a changeto a patch so that some mod works again?
I expect (!!!?) but I don’t know, but the problem was really created by the latest patch!
For a offline player of D2R this should be considered by the developers, making the game compatible with mods, especially those that make the game better and more entertaining. The original D2R is weak and suffer with old traditions from Blizzard developers!
For now I trying to find a old version of D2R prior this latest patch that became the game incompatible with additional stash tabs of any mod made, not only this one!
I have disabled automatic updates for now, because I don’t play D2R online, and I am intendind to avoid these “problematics patches” in future.
You just don’t get it, do you?
Blizzard - who allows to mod this product - made an official code change to the game. Any such change can cause a mod to stop working, therefore the mod maker needs to adjust his code to keep his stuff up to date. Call the game weak or whatever you want but it is the base any mod has to comply to and if a mod maker can’t do that it’s not Blizzard’s fault.
Now here the mod maker abused(!) an undocumented feature to allow access to up to 8 stash tabs. With the latest patch Blizzard now prevents this abuse by setting the maximum possible number of tabs to 4. Pretty sure they did that to prevent server abuse so it’s very unlikely this will be changed back.
Abuse? You didn’t understand! Let me spell out … MODs are for offline mode of the game ONLY. I agree that in online mode, for security and compatibility reasons, MODs should indeed be disabled.
But in OFFLINE mode, where there’s a large community of players who have been playing under the ORIGINAL rules for years and suddenly Blizzard changes those rules without a plausible reason! This doesn’t seem to combat abuse, it seems like sheer stupidity.
The trend is for classic players like me to abandon playing this game, after lose years of farming items that were stored in those extra stash tabs, simply because Blizzard (maybe only you) think that more stash tabs are a ABUSE!
Give me be a break!
I might have found the reason Blizzard made this adjustment. In a web post from August there was talk about new D2R content plus streamlining the regular and the China version of the game. One point discussed several more stash tabs being purchase-able (prolly for real money). This would match the code change Blizzard made, preventing modders from accessing more than 4 stash tabs.

Ok, thanks for letting me know.
