D2R Drop rate is very low

The only drop rate complaint I can put forward is I haven’t had one el drop for me at all. Too many normal countesses to count, 15+Ta 8 Ral, no el. I was going to make malic for me merc but I just went with drops as I couldn’t get an el…

For my summoner I did find a +1 Summon in the beginning of A1 normal…that’s just nice.

Exactly mate. We don’t have weeks to run all day for 1 shako. I think most of comments who tolds its cool is kids without work and personal life…

I’m actually surprised at how many rare items I’ve getting.

Socket yellow gems to increase magic find. Play on harder difficulty. Enjoy the game

I feel for you OP. I’ve had a bit of depressing runs myself, but it will pick up, man. Don’t give up. It’s all RNG.

Drop rate are good enough and very satisfying…that alone is a big difference with D3 imo.

D2 Retro used the old % + Dye meaning the boss had a 10% chance to drop such item your dye rolled a 9 making it %90 and that was the loot that dropped for you. D2R uses RNG not the same loot system and RNG is a much less forgiving Bioatch. As if the Boss has a 10% chance to drop the item your RNG roll is less then 20% chance you are not getting that item but RNG also has a list of regular loot, Magic items, Lesser Rares ect and those are the items you will get most of the time. So in other words yes Retro D2 loot was easier to get overall but D2R is I’m guessing 25-35% less chance of loot then Retro.

Yeah, I’m gearing up much faster than I remember from old D2 (it’s been years since I played on battlenet, since then it has been SP where players X helps a fair bit). Overall droprates feel good. Not low at all.
The quality of itemization is a different matter. I wish rare items still played a larger role than they do in this runeword-infested version of D2, but it is what it is :stuck_out_tongue:

600 trav runs and nothing higher than blue? I call b.s.

Yes we know, this is the way we like it.

My mf is 80% and I’m rolling in runes, rares and normal sockets

First of all, no you did not. If you did, youd have some good items to write about, or you have no luck period.
Run Andy, Meph, Pits or AT(depending on character) and Trav as a run and then see your items and enjoyment increase.

I think newbies like this will destroy D2.

only couple days in and already complain about not getting good loots??? are you serious? let me tell you about how loot works in D2. When I were a kid I play D2 for like over 6 years straight daily, I only found 2 high runes in all those time, did it stop me from playing D2 because drops sux? NO, it only makes me play more consistently because I know what to expect!

In D2 you just don’t expect to find all good things fast like in D3, as matter of fact, its almost impossible to find runes like Jah/Ber/Zod etc. I dont focus or killing myself to find them in D2, I just play and trade my way to get what I wanted, don’t expect OMGLoot on every boss kill, just play and when something good dropped treated it as a miracle.

I saw a mercenary with a green aura; D2R’s drop rate is too high.

Bro, same. I think out of all the years I’ve played this game I have only found ONE Ber in a hell cows game and that was last ladder season.

The drop rate is perfect. Quit the game if you don’t have time to play. This is not d3. Thankfully

Drop rates isn’t low.
I killed andariel in nightmare and got three different green sets. Rings and amulets drops often on ground aswell. Things depends on how much MF you have on your character. I suggest you to get more MF and you could also try to join a full server and do some rune runs :ok_hand:

Welcome to d2! Silopen and sites have exact drop odds for items. I mean it’s low odds that is the game, but no one really needs any of it either.
Technically, you could struggle through on hell beat the game and quit
