I play HC exclusively, too - and i do not think it is your PC. I get the occasional freezes, too. - Longer ones during zoning - but sometimes randomely.

I have lost 1 character to a game freeze - but since i play casually and fairly slowly - that is the only one. (my other HC sorc was lost because i got overconfident and rushed into an act5 dungeon without preparation)

As for freezes - yes, i daresay they will be the most likely killers of HC.

I doubt it is a hardware issue, because the computer i play it on certainly is more than competent to play Diablo 2.

im more then happy to Rush in a room and die as long as I did it

But this frezzing then game close with out even showing me an “error” messege is killing me

and i allso doubt its a hardwere issue i got my new pc 20 weeks ago or so and its packed…
then again is it the 3080 / 3090 series that ar having this isues only? i spoke to some other players runing older cards and thay dont sem to have this extrem issues?..

i use a gtx 1060, i5 7400 and the game runs for 1 ~ 10 minutes and crashes to desktop. Older cards have the same issue, but for us with ond cards the problem is the hardware, not the game…
