What console? I added friends on xboxone from game. Also you can hold right analog. Not saying it doesn’t need to be fixed. Matchmaking is a joke.

Oh I’m not now. Unable to as apparently for the last xxx hours my character is locked out.

Im on ps5, I couldn’t get any interaction in that screen to work other than party/unparty. I’ll try again with next player I see in a month lol

Are you even able to play with friends? I’ve been trying to invite friends on ps5, and it just returns an error.
Having put multiple 1000s of hours into D2, I currently feel nothing but regret of this purchase. And it’s a weird thing to say, because the game itself does exactly what I’d hoped it would.
But this no-lobby approach is ruining it completely for me. I’ve yet to find a public game. Every public game I created stayed empty. Even ghost towns have hints of society existing - D2R does not. And to top it all off, there’s no Player X command.
This might just be the frustration talking, but it’s completely beyond me how you can have the perfect schematic for a great game, do a real good job remastering it, and then drop the ball so hard on a key design approach. It’s a shame, because everything else I’ve seen really impressed me, and I would love to play more. With people. Without having to jump through all these hoops to find them outside of the game itself.
I challenge the devs to jump online, and simply try to find a game without their friends list or acquaintances. I’m convinced this can’t have been how they’ve envisioned this to be a day after launch.

I cant find any people to play…it looks like server problems. Playing solo this game is trash. Coop in this game always was essential! But blizzard have weekend, so they will not care till next week.

Yes it’s a bummer it’s hard to find people. Hopefully when everyone is in hell it will be easier. Then probably a lot of people will join baal runs/chaos etc.

Hey just following up, I matched with another player. No communication at all only i used the wheel, its a joke.
ANYWAYS on ps5 there is no right stick on their profile to add. The only way I’ve found on playstation is to go to the home screen and manually search for them.
D2 on console is a joke

I wish this didn’t speak to me so much and echo my exact feelings…
I want to want to play this, but I might as well just he playing single player
PRETTY MUCH two players in a game max. me and them
I played on day one with 3 people (PS4).
Instead of teaming up, everybody ran off and did their own things. I still own/play the original D2 on PC and was opening TPS to help people get the waypoints but was unable to tell them what I was doing.
According to Blizzard, they didn’t implement chats on console because such functionality was built into the PS 4 party systems and would consider implementing their own after seeing how things work after release.
I was able to see the Playstation ID’s of my friend list IN GAME. I was able to bring my son into my game and chat over the PS4 party system - at least that works.
But, those people have to be on my friends list first, and thats the problem. If you don’t have friends playing that game, its very difficult to make new friends in D2R. Randoms join the game, but since they are not on your friends list, you are forced to use in game Chat emotes - which are grossly incapable of starting a conversation with people you meet.
My playstation handle is TechzodPrimal1972 if anybody playing D2R on PS4 want to game. I played every mode in the original and am currently running at Level 16 Necromancer in Hardcore. I can help with quest info, waypoints, etc and am willing to guide newbies wanting to try this out.
If interested, send me a friend request on PS4 with the ‘D2R’ in the heading/text and i will contact you to party up when online.
I use to be in a Clan on old school D2 and am considering starting a PS 4 clan for D2R if there’s enough interest.

a) has been a genuine failure
b) is genuinely sought after by a reasonable portion of the player community

I agree with the chat and how we don’t have lobbies but another reason I don’t join public is cause of ffa loot I play with friends and don’t have to worry. Alot of people on here say play solo for loot but thats no fun lucky I have friends that’s why they should make a option for ploot.
