I call this one, gold only.
Rules are simple, the one and only thing you can grab from the monster kills is the gold they leave.
That also imply that you have to drop the equipment you start with
You’ll probably end up buying equipment from vendors
You can’t keep anything a shrine may give, like exploding pots, but you can use the buffs as usual
You are allowed to keep every quest reward, including the forge. In fact it is the one and only way to get gems, and the only way besides act 5 quest 1 quest reward to get runes for whatever good it does
You’re allowed to use runewords, but good luck getting both the runes and the base.
You’re allowed to gamble, if you can manage the money for it. In fact it’s the only way to get Amulets
Makes every quest reward feel relevant, especially the 10% saving on prices, and adds a nice pace change to the game. Gold find is especially relevant
My best character is Act 5 normal duo with a friend, I challenge you all to beat this
Hardcore Ladder, of course

Yea play a fire trap assassin. Gg you just beat the game.
this is actually easier than you think. i mean i think its an interesting challenge, and I may try it. but I will tell you the easiest way to do this:
play a summon druid or summon necro. you can make edge bow runeword to use on A1 merc. (buy the bow from a2 Farah). stealth, smoke/lionheart, lore, and others can all be made from vendor-bought bases. summoners with thorns aura support is really strong and you can pretty much walk through the game naked if you’re careful.
edit: ok I see the runes would be difficult to acquire, only being from forge or qual-kehk reward. but still you can shop all kinds of stuff- tele staff, fcr wands, res gear. qual kehk runes make your shield. base from a2 again. i mean a summon necro can 100% do this solo it will just be slow.
sounds extremely boring but you do you champ.
Tell me about your plan for hell please, because fire might very well bring you through normal and nightmare, but you’ll definitely need a backup plan for the fire immunes
You can go hybrid lite/fire/death sentry just fine
