This is just an other warning about a broken feature.
Indeed, D2R Chainlocks are totaly broken and inconsistent.
You can’t follow your opponent as in D2 LOD, it’s somehow delayed.
Also, the opponent seems to visualy rollback/desync on screen.
Somehow, it looks like the game is actually desyncing peoples TELEPORT destinations . While, your opponent is still on your spot, you see him far away.
I guess it’s a server issue.
While D2R fixed Frw desync, it introduced a casting desync. Which is by far WORSE because this kind of desync is completly random and unpredictable.
This is essentially the second stage of a Lock. Your opponent will not always stay in one spot and soon, feeling the coming Lock, will simply fly away. No wonder, while performing a Lock we moved our cursor under the knees. Now after a successful Lock, the nickname of our opponent will be again held with an attacking skill (we renewed it), which means you can do again Lock. Multiple Lock is, in fact, a Chainlock. This technique also requires skill and training.
A yee,
I think I know what u mean by lock.
I noticed that it is broken and sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t. Sadly.
I don’t know the “chainlock” thing^^
Knowledge too op for me.
I’m still op tho
Chainlock means you can keep the lock in row.
After the first namelock you put cursor on your feet. Then you teleport and re-namelock the opponent and teleport and re-namelock.
Chainlock - one of the most interesting pvp feature.
Please fix this, this is gamebreaking when it comes to D2 pvp. Also I dont get why str bug and wsg was patched.
Last time str bug and wsg were patched on classic D2 it was reverted within few weeks.
Have you tested in legacy mode? Me and some friends tested some features like namelocking etc. and they seemed to work a lot better in legacy mode. I suppose the whole issue might be somehow related to the new gfx.
I doubt it’s the graphics that cause this issue. The graphics are really smooth, it’s something about the engine that’s missing a beat. The missing location is a weird bug I admit, but it happens to everybody so is it really that big of a deal?
For this game to live (due to no real end-game content), PVP needs to be addressed. Chain-Locking was a very key tactic to close the gap between your opponent and help balance out the classes. PLEASE address this if you care about the game.
