D2R and D3 lots of friendly people in D2R not so in D3

I like to play d3 more, but the people in d2R are hundreds of times more friendly and fun to play with, in D2R the people are helping each other out, i see very high level players going back to help out even in normal mode. there are so many punks in d3 . sometimes its hard to find a good game with one of my lower ranked character, my 7 these jerks just love to boot people out of their game ha ha even if we are lower rated and trying to keep up the best we can. i can fully see booting someone that is away from the game and when a rift is run or something similar and they are holding up the game while they wait. but booting someone only because they are lower ranked and getting killed is wrong. but that is the difference in a helpful group that we find in D2R and some of the jerks in D3. in D2R we can join the game we want to based on the name, but in d3 it just pops us into games based on the selection of rifts or greater rifts or bounties. there are more people playing D2R and the only people playing the season in d3 now are all doing greater rifts. so with all the scum booting everyone it makes it even more difficult to find a good game.

diablo 3 is a joke imo.

they had everything in their power at that time to make the proper game and that’s what they gave us. people say it got better but i don’t see how. still looks awful. items rain from the sky. limited trading. just a bad game. if you wanna compare it to diablo 2.

hell the lore is embarrassing… when cain turned into diablo or whatever i can hardly remember but oh lord… what the actual… eff…

No trading, individual loot and timered rifts and you don’t have a community, but a bunch of competitive jerks in the game.
Due to lack of possible meaningful interaction, it’s not much of an exaggeration to say that other players are treated like NPCs.

d2 (lod) has the best community i´ve experienced in a game.
d2r not so much. maybe it´s all the relatively new ones (re)discovering the game…
d3 was solo period all the way, no friends played that one. and it hasn´t been appealing what with how they cosmetic their occasionally full on weebskizo characters.
d4 isn´t bad in this regard actually. just stay away from that devteam´s boot-licker cesspool that is the official forums.

D2 and D3 are two different beasts. D2 was created for gamers, by gamers. D3 was created for profit sharers and stock holders, by a bunch of bootlickers at Activision. One is a nice ribeye steak. The other is the McChicken at McDonalds. One has its fair share of quirks and oddities, as all games do. The other was solely created to leech more money to Bobby’s coffers, since the game was designed around the online auction house.

A nice ribeye steak in the 90’s/early 2000’s. Not so much anymore. Other ARPG’s have evolved to integrate better with the current state of gaming. D2R has not. It really depends on your preferences. D2R could be the absolute best ARPG of all time with a few changes. The D2R community nice? Ha! I had a good laugh with that one. This is a very toxic fandom. There are worse fandoms but this one isn’t very “nice”.

D3 in many ways is a mechanically superior game. Having said that, I still prefer to play D2R over D3.

Because of the way Diablo 3 was built from the ground up it forces players to be much more efficient when farming for loot, Paragons and materials.

Some of these things just don’t exist in D2r currently which leads to a more casual friendly playstyle within the d2r community.

the bad one is d4, i played and competed this season in D2R and D3 . I started 3 characters in D4 and got one to 28 or so , but the grind was to much , the monsters level faster than me. so i just came back to these two games, but very few people in d3 and all of them are only doing greater rifts, and they love to boot people . i get it if they just want to play in their own group but it hurts the other players

oh i don’t doubt that d4 is worse than d3. i just will not play d4. it costs money. it’s not worth the amount of money even at 40% off currently. it would have to be a whopping 100% off for me to even think about it and even then i would hesitate as i would view it as a massive waste of time. i’m all for … using time in a lazy way, but that is straight up wasting it.

i don’t know how d3 works at all these days, i only played vanilla. for the first 4-5 months. was pretty much their unhappy beta tester. after that whole fiasco i knew there was never going to be another diablo game worth playing.

now we have immortal and diablo 4, and i was right. neither are worth playing.

it seems that d4 was made for the professional gamers the ones that can put in 5 to10 hours a day or the ones that bot. it seems they made d4 as a challenge to the them to have to grind all day to get anywhere. i started in season 2 as i was in the phil when the game came out, but i never did the campaign , i dont want to grind a campaign with a new character. doing the campaign gets old to
