I was playing nightmare act3 with 3 other players. and got disconnected and account banned. Reason: exploitation. I did nothing wrong. lvl50 sorc and I was teleporting through act3.

If you’re using any third party programs that run outside or inside of the game, it will be grounds for termination of account.
Were you using anything that assisted in playing D2R? Anything at all?

nothing at all. ive played the game for 2 days. it did however seem like the paladin in the game was using maphack.

Wow, that’s not good. Doesn’t surprise me at this point.
We were in act 2 and he said this way. which was odd. I had no idea he was hacking.
I got permanently banned in TBC Classic and then ban was overturned on appeal.
Banning legit players is Blizzard’s MO.

In arcane sanctuary he knew which way to go
I’d wager he just understood how the maps generate.
Still seems weird that YOU got banned even if he was cheating and you were in the same game.
Not for Arcane. There is no map tell for Arcane Sanctuary. If he ‘knew’ the way, he was using MH.
MH is very easy to get right now so it’s not unlikely.

Ehhh… I’ve guessed correctly the first time many times as well. Not saying he wasn’t cheating, but I’d hardly consider that any kind of solid proof.

arcane lol i just tpked a arcane game in asia realm since it cuz of their dupers that the america server is r/d so joined the game I killed the whole crew just before they got summoner and i killed summoner after and the whole team of idk chinese or koreans started raging at me in tears of their language

yea in a pvp game yesterday just cuz i hit save n exit fast a few times and left tps in blood moors pubs accused me of hacking
I was just thinking with these hacks if they can mask the packets or somehow implicate other players. with new maphacks coming out
I noticed people using that for a while. It is very obvious in some games where they are just running straight to every waypoint and passage in every area.
If you got banned for someone else using maphack, you’re going to want to submit a ticket for appeal. Posting on the forums is now not going to serve you in any way shape or form the help you need.
