A game that has directly stated rules against them.
The rules in D2 do not state there is anything wrong with this.
If there were, it could and would be a bannable offense.
This is true. Diablo is a loot hunting trading game. What keeps a trading game alive? Trading sites so we have a community, economy and way to complete builds and enjoy the game. The lifeblood of Diablo is trading and if reliable, safe site like D2jsp didnāt exist then Diablo would of not lasted the test of time.
If a game has no economy itās instantly dead.
It is needed though because itās the only safe place to have protected trades and they do more to fight scammers than Blizzard. So scammers have to go elsewhere like creating trading games and I assume everyone in there is likely to scam. So I never join since itās not protected.
Now if Blizz wants to make an official trading site, protect trades and ban scammers but D2jsp already does it and has done it well for 20 years. Which is why they are successful.
Blizzard wanted to buy D2jsp for a reason but the owner Paul turned them down. So Blizz made the Real money AH.
Whatever you want to tell yourself. Not only are jsp users directly in violation of the ToS (despite what spurious lies you tell yourself), this remains true whether it is enforced or not.
But of course you also ignore that whether directly against the rules or not, jsp clearly and obviously negatively impacts the integrity of the game, and especially the ladder, through the use of forum gold either gained by direct purchase or carried over across games, platforms, modes, and seasons.
P.s. This thread was happily dead during your time off. You should have been content to leave it that way.
Fixed it for you. D2jsp is the other side of the same coin. Diablo and D2jsp need each other to survive and be successful. Diablo never would of lasted without such a reliable great site keeping the lifeblood of Diablo going.
Well D2jsp now does other games and has their own so technically they have grown past just Diablo but you get the point. They are the biggest trading site for a reason. They do a great job and help trading games like Diablo.
You go on deluding yourself that D2 was āaliveā and āstood the test of timeā thanks exclusively to jsp and didnāt actually die and fade to obscurity with the advent of the new battlenet and the release of games like WoW, PoE, D3, etc.
Itās a fact. Diablo is a loot hunting trading game that is 100% reliant on itās economy. Something needs to keep the economy stable and that was D2jsp over all those years. It built a safe community not just for trading but in itās discussions and information.
The D2jsp general discussion actually has better information on it compared to this official general discussion that has nothing but complaining. D2jsp was a massive positive for Diablo staying alive and building a dedicated safe community of passionate players to keep the game going.
You canāt deny the safest place to trade is on D2jsp. They do a great job and that is why Blizz tried to buy them. You canāt get rid of most secure place to trade with D2jsp and not have something to replace it. So just gonna disagree with you and obviously you have a jaded opinion for some reason.
As a Diablo fan we should be thankful for how D2jsp has contributed to making this game safer and a timeless classic.
Youāre ignoring (and with good reason) the āAliveā and āstood the test of timeā.
D2 was a great game but it wasnāt some thriving, robust presence with a large active community still playing for 20 years. It shone and then it faded.
Perhaps youāre thinking of WoW. You know, the game that sucked away almost the entire playerbase of D2 and has maintained millions of subscribers for the better part of two decades. Best estimates of players still actively playing D2 10 years ago wasnāt even 5 figures.
Nevermind that the average player has never even heard of jsp. Most online users jsp has ever seen is like 21,000, and thatās just recently with users returning with D2R.
But sure, jsp kept D2 āaliveā. Sure, kid.
It did
Thanks, always love when someone calls this old cat a kid. Makes me feel young again.
A couple thousand players does not make a game alive.
No itās not needed. I use it, well whenever i decide to play, but itās definitely not needed. It just makes the world a lot easier.
Tell that to people who believe mods is what keep d2 alive enough for blizzard to do a remake of d2
It is true tho. They kept it alive. 99,9% people I know in D2 would stop playing ages ago if there would not be modding in D2. Its not just popular mods. Mods helped many private servers to be alternative option where to play online. Mods like plugy significantly improved SP experience.
Only very tiny fracture of player base would keep playing same game for more than 10 years.
The reality is that current users is not a determining factor, if even a consideration, for whether or not a game gets a remake/remaster.
Peak sales figures of the original (and any subsequent remakes) is what matters.
D2 was a dead game. It was not āaliveā except by wild stretches of the imagination.
I use jsp and I kind of want it gone to be honest. Would be amazing if everyone had to grind
we said p8 not personal loot
This is how world works.
buy 8 accounts of the game and then load them all in. Bam player 8.
What ifā¦ Jsp is funneling Blizzards cut of the profit money back to Blizzard since the beginning? Would make things alot more clearā¦ I dont see a giant corp allowing lil D2j to eat their lunch for so many years. However, if it came out there was some backdoor stuff going on between the 2 i wouldnāt be surprised at all. If they havenāt been sued yet, you have to wonder why?
D2Jsp is not the problemā¦ People spending real cash for items in this game, now thatās the real problem, but jsp does help facilitate that too. Its the few people out of the majority of players that have dumped money into this game to treat it like an investment and they hold all the cards when it comes to Item Values and How much money your going to pay for anni or a high rune.
