To all the kiddos saying D2R or D2 is P2W because you can go to some 3rd party site, you’re full of it.
P2W is a horrendous labeling that only applies to game titles where the devs themselves either through purposeful choice, or coercion, have decided to create in-game systems to facilitate further revenue on the basis of progression.
Calling a game P2W because Jimmy put his Grief up on Ebay, Amazon, D2jsp, or any other number of 3rd party possibilities (for real or psuedo-currency) does not a P2W game make, no matter how many mental hoops you jump through.

i play path of diablo… greendude banned jsp and he actaulyl made his own trade site… and i use that… becuase he actaully made his own trade site… and it works great.
blizzard hasn’t done that… and even considering removing jsp without a proper alternative would be catastrophic… because the in-game trading system is TRASH.

the net effect of d2 jsp as it has been for the past 15 years is
it is a FREE trade site… for d2… its regulated way more than d2 is… its a much safer place to trade to not get scammed… i can do it while i play the game. there are no Ads, and its easy to use.
i have used d2 jsp for 15 years… and it wasnt even until LAST YEAR i had any idea it was an old “bot site”
idgaf what the site used to be 6 years before i joined it…
i judge something on its current effect wehter or not its postive or negative.
and d2 jsp has ZERO net negative… and a MASSIVE net postive.

it was still for a bot when you joined it, it also didn’t exist 21 years ago…
it damages the game economy by removing items from trades and ruins the fresh restart of ladder so it has a net negative.
It’s on you as well, you are the person farming the items for the people buying them for real money you work for d2jsp.

it doesn’t remove items from “trade”… i trade it to a real person… i get FG… which i use to trade for an item, also from a real person. the only difference is im not doing item to item… im using a currency, so its much easier to make trades without having to find the exact item someone might find useful.

as for the “economy” ROFL the cheaper items are imo the better… i want to gear up my character. but i never BUY items on the start of the ladder… i only SELL items… then i wait a week or two because that FG doesn’t depreciate in value where the items would have after a week or two after the ladder start.
and when i use the turn “buy” i mean with the FG i have traded for… again i haven’t spent a cent on jsp since i joined in 2007.

Yeah but if we didn’t have impossible drops the player base would actually be legit and everyone would enjoy themselves…
No no, we need 25K bots running around so the dev’s can go “See, we did good things here by keeping the game as inaccessible as possible to the average person” so good luck ever getting drop rates to change.
All they need to do is make those HR’s drop at like triple the normal rate they do now and maybe it might give us a reason to sink another 2000 hours in for a chance so we can make 1 enigma or 1 infinity… we will never have both without buying the bers with real money but it’ll be nice to have a chance to make either or and choose which one we want to use.

When Blizzard won its case against MDY the creators of the GliderBot the Judge inadvertently broke what the DMCA established as the precedent of what constitutes literal and non-literal interactions between server and client the very definition of copy-right protection and enforcement. The service of arranging and exchanging goods outside of the game and then using the game to facilitate the exchange does not infringe or compromise the literal to non-literal agreement of the ToS/ EULA.

No not that. Have you ever been banned by that website? Imagine Chase bank bans you for saying “bank of america” while you transfer your money to a friend, without telling you why, and you still have thousands of dollars in your bank. I found out that after sending a second message without the keyword, by taking a guessing game. But it was an hour after I was supposed to reply. Then they ban you for asking for clarity about being banned. And they extend the ban for commenting here.
BTW, people like Chris61582 are probably exactly the reason why ZaruenVoresu dislikes that forum.
