D2jsp is going to ruin the integrity of this game

You got guys sitting on hundreds of thousands in FG on there just waiting for this game to start up so they can use that FG to get a massive unfair advantage over the rest of us. This is supposed to be a fresh start, and somehow these jsp neckbeards are already set to ruin the fairness of the game with their FG hoards that they got from botting in the original d2. Why the heck are botters from the original able to carry that advantage over to D2R? I wish blizzard could serve jsp with a Cease and Desist order or something.

If it’s not JSP it’ll be something else. Just let it go, there’s nothing Blizzard can do and there are way bigger issues that will hurt the “integrity” of the game long term.

At least on that ‘something else’ people wouldn’t already have tons of currency saved up. The JSP whales have a MASSIVE advantage over the rest of us, and they earned it botting inn the old d2, does that not bother you?

it only doesnt bother people who already have fg… but theres really nothing that can be done

Blizzard could always sue d2jsp like they do to hack selling websites…

Yea but what can we do? The site exists, has done for ages, and D2R gets launched next week. Other than destroying ourselves over it, there is nothing we can do, just take heart in knowing that those who use those type of websites are only the tiniest of players.

You’re right, but it is what it is.
Just make an MF sorc for now

It is a bit unfortunate that people with lots of FG start off with such a great head start. But, I honestly don’t see any solutions to this.

There is another possibility. In the USA, there are Federal FinCEN regulations that ultimately led to the closure of the D3 auction house that apply to virtual in game currency that can be purchased by real cash. These rules were put in place to prevent money laundering and fight terrorism.

D2jsp may run afoul of FinCEN whose regulations that have expanded even more over the past 5+ years; however, I am not a lawyer. I bet if d2jsp got a letter from US Federal prosecutors (if applicable of course) then it might change things.

Blizzard can just sue their balls off! Screw D2jsp. Never used that crap. Always traded Old School baby!

It might be a question of standing. At which point, only Blizz, as the wronged party, would be the only ones who could make the claim.

The Federal Government is the one who enforces this. The standing party is the government.

See the two linked documents in my earlier post.

The real problem are people that sell their items to those people with fg or even money. D2jsp is not the only platform that sell items, there discord server, ebay and other websites.
Also, if someone want to buy items, people need to find them first. But for sure at some point people with massive fg can just buy items and don’t have to play the game to have equip.
Major thing is that blizzard prevents botting.

I feel sorry for the people who buy items with forumgold for D2R, they won’t actually play the game^^

Just play legit and enjoy the game is what i do. Aslong as D2R is not tainted with bots we can still have our fun.

I won’t be using jsp to buy stuff early to get an advantage, but I know some will. I see this as such a minuscule problem compared to bots, dupes, and imports that I see this as a tiny issue.

I would never spend real money for game items as I enjoy the grind, but honestly bots are a way bigger issue than RMT in my opinion.

I don’t understand. Seriously. I don’t use djsp but understand the basic concept - use forum currency to buy things in game.

Does that site have a real money in, forum gold out process? If not, there has to be shady other sites that do that sort of thing.

Either way - we have a fresh start, literally, game isn’t even out yet, you’re looking at weeks (minimum) before anyone has anything worth sht.

My guess is, everyone starts the game fresh, ladder and nl (sc and hc).
Gets their chars leveled and begin working on gear/wealth.
As duplicates or drops from other classes come in, they trade them out / keep them.

So? Then what? The whales buy everything from the botters and highly experienced teams of players, leaving nothing for everyone else on djsp?

If you get a Ber drop, on your first hell walk through…what’s more probable, you trade it or keep it for the Jah drop?

I really don’t get it. Things need to drop and people need to make the decision to sell or keep it. How does 10,000,000 fake internet points change the supply?

Editadd: let’s say you do get a Ber or Jah drop in the first day because you know how to speedrun and you get lucky. You can sell it for a crazy high price because the supply is non-existent and the demand is excruciatingly high.

That’s playin’ to win, baby! Buy low, sell high.

There is a very simple solution to jsp: An in game market.

jsp fills a void that has always existed in the game. We as the players need a place to trade our goods. jsp filled that void and became the go to spot for buying/selling our items. If they had competition then this wouldn’t be an issue. As is we do not have a better option and I’ll probably get on there to sell my stuff.

If jsp is a problem give us an alternative.

days… it will take days. maybe like 3

Thats the sole reason why owner runs it, as people can buy FG also with real money.

It doesnt, the point of all this topic is that people with plenty of FG use something outside of game to get items way too easy and its not fair play as everyone should start at same position.

Really? I didn’t know that. Have only done cursory looks at jsp in the past. If it’s possible to buy FG then “legally” trade that for in-game items, this is wrong - and Blizz should have cracked down on them with C&Ds long ago!

Not True at all, 3rd party domains are already established for D2R ready to SELL SELL SELL, Blizzard Needs to create their own trading site to Post Items. this will Fix the D2jsp issue as well as Discouraging buying items with $ when you can trade for them easily…
