I also cannot join or create games anymore. At first it was saying “Join Failed” then it was saying that it could not communicate with servers check to see that you’re connected to the internet. Clearly, I am.

I had this same problem. I am in central US. I noticed my 2 friends on the east coast could join each others games, no problem (neither could join mine and vise versa).
When I VPN’ed through an east-coast server (They are in NY and GA, so I went DC), I could then join their game.
My guess is blizzard shut down playing between US regions to help with the scale of the launch, but hopefully they re-enable it.
I have the same issue. Friend creates, I cannot join. I create, they cannot join. Whether we use passwords, or invites, or whatever. I am West Coast, he is Central, so maybe it is the same as MrFahrenheit?
edit: My friend and I stumbled onto a solution to our problem. Counter intuitively, when we made a new game, we unchecked the option to join directly from Friends List. With that option unchecked, we had no issue joining each others games. Also, strangely enough, we can join directly from the Friends List.
I could not join a friend from East Coast of Canada (I’m mountain) but he could join someone 1 province to the left. I’m on PS4, friend is on PS4. I bought a copy just to play with my friend. Blizzard if you’re gonna play this game I’m going to refund and you’re going to lose what little faith I have left in you.
