D Key not dropping

I usually have at least one key drop every 15 runs. The last week I have been running back to back Nihlatak runs and not even a single D key.
Is it possible this is bugged?

Less likely bugged, more likely just a streak of bad luck. Keep trying.

I keep rolling a d20 and usually I roll a 20 once every 20 tries, but I’ve rolled it 40 times now and it hasn’t landed on 20, is something wrong with the dice?

omg you are so smart… your response unraveled the entire world of statistics to me of which I had 0 knowledge about.

If you already understand RNG then why did you post? :man_facepalming:

D key has a 1:14 chance of dropping, which means there is a 92.69% chance of it not dropping.
.9269^n=chance of no drop for the run set. n=number of runs
In 14 runs, there is roughly a 34.5% chance of a dkey not dropping for any of the runs.
In 50 runs, there is roughly a 2.25% chance of a dkey not dropping.
In 100 runs, there is roughly a 0.05% chance of dkey not dropping.

edit: moved decimal too many places on the 100 run math. Oops.

This. I have gone 57 runs without a key from the countess, I believe. Sometimes it happens. Sometimes they drop 2 at once or keys back to back…comes down to RNG.

Because RNG happens… and and bugs don’t happen?

Sure bugs happen, but in cases where rng is involved its pretty hard to know when or if.

You can get no shako, but everything else you get x of, thats why soloplaying it a bit frustrating sometimes you cant trade for it even you have 5 decent wts.

Come back after 100-200 runs with no key drop if you wanna be taken seriously that it would even possibly be a bug. Also why would it suddenly and randomly be bugged when there has been no update to the game in however long? Again, if you understand RNG, as you claim, why even post what you did? You deserve another one of these :man_facepalming:

I get where he is coming from. I have noticed that everytime I complain publicly about me being unlucky my luck changes instantly.

Embrace your bad luck, it just might turn into good luck. :four_leaf_clover:

No you need to complain, if not online then to your wife and if she yells at you to your cat.

In my mind it actually work, after i type a complain to someone that I havent got a drop in ages it comes right after. If I make a game called wtb 3 sock tombreaver and play while waiting the odds for finding a 3 sock tombreaver goes way up

Reality is of cause there is no game god and i know it. But too many times luck changes.

Who know, lol… perhaps that is what is going to happen

The only thing I will say, is the RNG seems to use some seed that maybe makes it feel a bit too suspect at times. Nothing awful, but I have had several instances where I don’t find an item for tons of runs/time and then I find two in back to back runs. Smells fishy lol. Regardless, it is not a bug. Keys are a bit different anyway, since like runes, they are not based on other item pools or magic find.

It’s not that fishy. I used to count cards in 21 in Nevada. I could go on a terrible streak for hours, then hit a blackjack 3 hands out of 4.

And on this topic, last key farm I did it took 120 runs to get all the D and T keys, which was bad, but then I started on Summoner for the H keys, and on my third run, he dropped all 3 in one drop. I didn’t even know they could drop 3.

Didnt know that either, had max 2. But to be honest I havent gathered more then 100 of each key. After that I got all torches or gave up and traded for it.

Yeah I had gotten 2 keys twice off Countess before that. I think it’s a rare occurrence. Come to think of it, for all I know you can get 4.

I only know for sure 2, in single play. Maybe its common with more in 8 players, no idea.
