I think it would be nice if Blizzard either allowed us at the end of the current D2/D2:LoD ladder to either export the battlenet saves file to use in offline D2R and/or roll them over to non-ladder D2R battlenet as a reward for playing the current D2/D2:LoD ladder.
always has been what happens. It’s not like they delete your ladder chars.
/e oh, i misunderstood. You mean legacy d2 ladder chars migrating to d2r? I highly doubt they’d do that much work. Def not without making it a micro transaction.
Perhaps some more characters slots for ladder as well?
Someone might know, but did Blizzard do something like that in one of the WoW classic iterations.
This will likely already be the case. They know people have already filled up their rosters with mules and such, so I’d put my money on them adding more slots with the release of Ladder.

yes they did when classic split into tbc and classic. You could choose which server you wanted to play with current character OR for a fee you could copy your char and put one on each version.
