Curse stacking?

Do some curses stack or not? I watched some old Youtube videos where they said Dim Vision stacks with Amp Damage. What is the truth?

No, amp will definitely override dim. The only curse that ‘stacks’ is attract. It doesn’t exactly stack but it can not be overridden by a new curse, so you can cast attract and IM and attract will still be there.

All other curses override each other so there is just one cure on things.

As a basic rule of thumb, Curses don’t stack. What some would do is have a curse like Dim Vision maxed out to have a massive radius and 1 point Amp Dmg. They would Dim the entire screen in 2-3 casts then use the much smaller radius of Amp to fight a few monsters only. This would mean the ones with Amp were no longer Blind but the majority of monsters were still under Dim. So they would have 2 curses going, but never 2 curses on 1 monster.

Other tricks you can do are things like cast Terror on monsters and overwrite it with something else like Dim. They would continue to flee as that was the action they were taking and wouldn’t register the Dim until they ran a certain distance or hit an obstacle or something. Then they would stop and be blinded by Dim.

You can also cast Attract which technically affects a group of monsters but only 1 of them would actually have the curse on it (The one directly under you mouse pointer). Attract also can’t be overridden by other curses so you could do things like cast Attract on a monster and Iron Maiden on all the monsters around it. All the monsters would attack the Attracted one while taking reflect dmg from Iron Maiden.
