first,let me tell you that i have never been trading runes prio to DII R but after the launch i got quickly into the game and been trading runes daily since then. Prices are moving up and down quite alot ,but i think this is an average valuation of runes for current market. On a peak can add extra value to Sur Lo and Ber runes* ,but iam working with averages here.
lem 0.02 /pul 0.04 / Um 0.06 / mal 0.1 / ist 0.16 / gul 0.25 /Vex 0.5 / Ohm 0.9 / Lo 1.7* / Sur 1.5* / ber 3.0 * / jah 2.5 /Cham 0.25 / Zod 0.5
vex = 3ist
gul = ist+mal
Lo = i have seen trading between 9-12 ist recently ,12 is overkill imo can as well cube 4 vex
Sur =9-11 ist
Ber =18-21 ist , this is current price and it can be 23 ist next week or can go down to 16 ist
cham = a scam rune to get noobs rekt, ppl think its like 2-3 ist ,i bought over 14 for ist each and i see ppl being unable to dump at 2 ist. iam fairly confident its value is ist - gul at most if you looking to sell
Zod = 2-3 ist maximum, some ppl even swap you Zod for Cham cuz cham can be used in mercenary helmet while zod is just straight up scam (yes my mercenary uses botd)
final thoughts
We need new runewords, it is unaceptable that second most rares item in game Zod is worth 3 ist runes. got to be carefull tho because we dont wanna unbalance or ruin the game.

Another angry zod finder, first off what do these numbers even mean? what market? the in game market? if so well relatively accurate but not really and things change when people start making runewords that require cham and zod. We dont need new runewords as much as we need more diversity of builds not just everyone using ber’s to make infinity’s for their dumb cold sorcs and enigma paladins. There is no problem just too many meta cookies. If anything needs changing its the skillsets, dump all the garbage useless unused ones or buff them or whatever. The items in the game are the only stable things…

what do you talking about zod hater ? i deal with facts. i will sell you vex rune at 3 ist 10 times over before i sell you Zod rune at 3 ist once. thats the fact. and if there are no buyers price goes down. botd is only item Zod is good for and it takes PIMP to be willing to build that cuz obedience is pretty close and is made with air runes for free
numbers are there for noobs to see an average values between runes so they dont get scammed. even noob knows that 0.5 is 2x more than 0.25. so if he has 2x gul rune he can either cube it in this particular rune case or trade it for vex
this is why jsp is so much easier with a currency value for each item.
Even if you give runes a numeric value relative to each other, every single item in the game changes it’s value over time.
lol no. Zod is awesome in high end eth rares. And a Botd is far superior to an obedience cause of it’s mods, not just it’s damage.
well it is a little bit sad because many people do not know anything about trading here.
They just think zod is the highest runes so must be worth the most.
look at trading forum and people want to trade Zod for Jah+@
Some people wants to trade shako for ber rune
kinda hilarious.
anyways, rune prices are more or less correct, but if you arent in a hurry to trade and use more than one platform you can sometimes trade up.
I traded a vex for an Ohm
I traded an ohm for a Lo
I also traded an ohm + ist for a Lo
I traded a shako for cham+ist and cham for shako and that shako for a vex.
you only need to find a desperate buyer.
Dont call my sorc dumb! How dare yoU!
I never knew there was a market price for a barter system. This thread has opened my eyes.
bro out of all sorceress builds cold is probably the only one that doesnot need infinity cuz you cant break cold immune no matter how hard you try kek
after blizzard fixed * (screwed it)
I don’t know. At a certain point, something can become so rare that it can’t realistically become part of any build meta. Zod isn’t quite that rare, but I’m just pointing out sometimes rarity is the carrot on the stick, itself. And that’s all.
I bought a cham for a gul. I have no use for a cham but I thought it was a good buy.
ppl are saying something about eth yelow items being used in future idk. i have never played diablo II on battle net. but i never claimed zod rune wont have higher value in future, i was refering to current market price. its simple when there is more sellers than buyers price goes down the sink. i have bought two zod runes at ist per basically. bought cham runes at ist each and than swaped cham for two zod. market never lies ,zod rune CURRENT* value is 3 ist. you can create game " offering Zod need Ohm" but you have like 100% chance probbaility you wont sell. unless some greedy noob decide to outsmart the market without proper knowledge about runes and gives you Lo rune for Cham rune. well iam not jesus christ if someone offers me Lo for Cham sure ill take it (it actually happened)
