I am level 90. I got about 3 bars to go thanks to terror cow 8 man leveling! (Thanks epic thunder amazons and Sorc area of effect cow ploppers!)
However there is something I fear: ( I did not fear this is Sand Lands in The Marines as a Storm Trooper Sith since I was blinded by Mine Own immortal Power HA HA HA )
DEATH PENALTY AT 90 Is too Great! Please nerf the death penalty!
Also if Diablo 4 has a high Level death penalty to experience that bad I am going to be furious and make a sign: “BLubbering Lameos Splatter” and shout my anger marching up and down the sidewalk at the next BlizCon Hotel Convention center preaching to everyone how harsh and hurtful the experience death penalty is- splattering my Experience and wasting hours I got just cuz I am lame and fat and nod off sleeping when I play and Die in a splatter of Barbarian Blood!
Im super mad as I already died 3 times at level 90 and I bet I be 1 or 2 bars away form 91 if I did not level. The game is too hard and I am soft sleepy and lame in my 4000 dollar leather heated custom made gamer chair.

If you don’t want to lose XP from dying, the solution is simple… Don’t die.
Death must have a price, and gold isn’t enough. The amount of XP loss is right where it needs to be… Just enough to make people think twice about zerg rushing into a fight.
If you think XP loss on death is bad, don’t ever play hardcore.
Join us in HC, losing the XP matters much less.

xp penalty on death is fine and i think we should not get 75% of it back
“body retrieving” is the thing that needs to go
so my suggestion is:
- remove the body mechanic on death
- this means that on death we will respawn with full gear
- remove the “75% lost xp back” mechanic
- this means that on death we will always lose 10% xp
you just want to make the game easier and easier!!
my suggestion makes dying harsher
more xp lost > getting gear back
You can play hardcore, no need to worry about exp or gold loss on death.
Seriously though, once you get decent gear, it is pretty hard to die unless you’re doing something dumb like teleporting/jumping into mobs so I don’t get the problem here…game does not need more adjustments to make it easier…
Just don’t die. If you die you deserved it. You shouldn’t touch HC.
They should have banned you for dying! Don’t do the crime if ya can’t do the time.

If you’re struggling at level 90 with the XP loss and getting there believe me it gets about 20x worse at 95
spends $4000 on a chair, may aswell of spent $50 online for d2r gear lol.
the death penalty is 10% xp lose, but recovering your body gives back 8%.
its to stop people blasting areas they shouldnt be, if you cant get your body back then its a pentalty of going where you shouldnt

Last week I was 4.5mil exp points from hitting lvl98.
I experienced a server disconnect just as Lord De Seis was spawning on top of me… had to relaunch the bnet-thing, only to find my naked character… and the game had expired, so, no chance to recover body.
Arg. That hurt… I wrote it down (at home) and I lost 41mil exp points (IIRC)… which represents 10-40hrs of play time (I play 99% SSF) depending on TZ’s up when I have time to play.
Yes, die’n sucks, but, there needs to be a price to pay.
Was the first time I’ve had a disconnect in months, so, it was a bit of a shock…
Then, I got super aggressive trying to make back the points, and, made a stupid mistake and died again! No one to blame but myself.
Luckily, I was able to stay in game, recover my A1 merc, and go get my body… thankfully the monsters that got me had mostly dispersed the area and my merc was able to cold/slow and knockback the monsters still there… body retrieval was a success.
That felt good.
I then slowed back down and played more cautiously (couple friends joined a few games, and that helped)… and finally broke lvl98 new years day.
It’s a journey.

Wait till you die at 95+ LOL. Melee characters with life tap are slow farmers but, They are super hard to die with. Does suck though. Wish you luck XD
Its also their way of saying git gub scrub!
