does my dps get added to damage after I land a crushing blow or is the crushing blow all I get for that hit?
I’m thinking that if CB is all I get, then it’s impossible to kill a mob with 100%CB. Yes? no?
thats not how crushing blow works. 100% doesn’t mean it does 100% of a monsters life. 100% means it would do crushing blow everytime. Crushing blow’s actual value is based on the monsters current HP and mob type
Normal Enemies with Melee does 25% of the monsters current health. Values are halved for champions/bosses and halved for ranged attacks.
Can’t kill with CB, just like static field. It’s an effect not raw damage. But, whatever attack damage you did when it checked for CB proc should still go through.
CB is for killing boss’ with high. Llamasc has a video where he explains certaib mechanics in diablo and CB is one of them.
You basically dish out a lot of dmg based on a monsters hp. So if you’re killing a fetish who has minimal hp, your CB dmg is goinf to be very low. It’s not ideal to use CB to attempt at deleting mobs. Deadly Strike does this better.
It’s why ppl use CB to kill Ubers.
CB damage is done BEFORE the player damage.
So 40k Diablo with a 100 damage hit will first deal 5000 damage as CB damage then 100 after leaving him with 34,900. the 2nd hit will deal 4362.5 damage then 100 leaving him 30,437.5 HP.
Unlike Static field, there is no limit either. If diablo was at 400 health and you did a 100 hit with a CB, it would first do 50 damage as CB then 100 leaving him at 250.
Bro,
Thanks for reading my question properly and giving me feedack
Yes sorry wasn’t clear. CB then damage.
If you did 0 damage then no crushing blow couldn’t kill (actually wouldn’t be sure how it would handle a crushing blow of 1 HP monster) but again would take FOREVER to get to that point with just crushing blow too since its based on current HP and not max. (it takes 20 hits at for a monster at 100hp to get to 9hp and CB only do 1 to it)
