After playing through D4 I really did get to enjoy playing with my Xbox friends while on PC.
Will we ever get to see this implemented into D2R? This would be a HUGE win. strong text
At this point it’s extremely unlikely, it’s probably something that had to be done when D2R was in active development because there’s probably a ton of systems that would need to be built on top of it.

Given it has cross progress, but not cross play, I suspect it’s unlikely we’d ever get it. They likely determined that cross progress best fir their cost benefit ideal point and went that direction.
