The characters I created on my switch don’t appear when I play pc and vice versa. I have linked the accounts and tried re loading multiple times.

Cross progression is not implemented. May be at a later date.
Cross progression to share character saves across platforms was supposed to available at launch. Did they announce that the feature was delayed? I’m having the same issue on switch/Xbox. To be clear, I’m not talking about “cross-play”

Yes they said it may come later.
I’m pretty sure cross progression was just working a few weeks ago during beta…
Actually that’s not true, i could use my test-druid which i created on my Nintendo Switch also on Xbox Series X - so there is already “cross-progression”.

I even checked out right now, my Druid is still there. And if you want i’ll try again and create now a character - and check Switch out.

Created a sorc, could use it on both (obviously have to be a online-character).
I believe cross-progression is up - worked perfect in BETA.
Cross-PLAY on the other hand is not (console playing with PC users etc) and thats what they will look into at future state.
I wonder what I’m doing wrong? I have confirmed my battle net account is linked to both the Switch and the Xbox series x. Tried creating an online character on switch but they are still not showing up on Xbox.

Works flawlessly between my PC and Xbox ,make sure your games are linked to the same account
Does cross-progression works with offline characters? Could somebody confirm that? I’ve a 20 year old PC save. I want to play on it with my PS5 and i don’t want to buy a PC version unnecessarily to implement that save to D2R.
Offline characters should be saved locally, so offline characters should not work. But I’m not sure 
Saves are stored localy. That’s true but maybe they will work somehow.
What you might mean is “crossplay”.
I there a fix to this, this issue is currently happening for me from Xbox Live to PC. I have characters on Xbox live that are not showing up on my PC. Accounts are linked and everything.

If they are offline characters they will not show up. Cross progression is only for online characters.

What many others have said, cross play only works for online characters, offline characters are local storage only and thus are only playable on the platform in which they were created. I’m incredibly hopeful they implement a way to import our offline characters to other platforms as I would love to play my old character from back in the day on my Switch. All I can say for those who are interested in the same, be vocal about your want for this option and maybe we will be heard.
Cross progression has been working like 2 days after launch. The delay was due to server issues, however after that my switch, Xbox, and PC were all working cross progression.
At the moment my switch is having issues loading my online characters though stating I have no online characters

Well, I’m having the same issue Xbox (Created an Online character) → Switch (Do not show up any character). All accounts are linked, tried to create a fresh online character, and so on… Nothing seems to be wrong with my accounts or devices, does anyone have any advice?
