Platform:
PC and Xbox
General outline of issue:
Currently actions done on the PC version i.e. killing boss for achievement or completing character in hell mode et cetera do not unlock when switching that character to Xbox. Generally they can be unlocked again if you complete the action again but not always. This will be a major issue mostly for leveling a character to level 99 as that action is not repeatable with that character and would require another character reaching that rank again though only on the applicable Xbox or Playstation platform.
Suggestion:
Look at fixing this bug and if it is not a bug introduce a patch to make any action taken on PC to retroactively also unlock the associated achievement upon login on the relevant console type.
Note: Please lower the level requirement for a hardcore character achievement. Leave the normal one at level 99 but maybe make hardcore level 85 instead.

Agree with the suggestion, except for the hardcore character achievement change.

both 99’s have to be removed. This is the top 10 worst unfun achievement in the history of xbox. I got a 98% avg (100% completion rating) and i will never be able to to put in the time to unlock these. No one wants to make this their job. Most console gamers buy a hand full a games ever. the ones that play a lot, move on to the next game soon as they beat it… No one Wants this Achievement . no one will play this game on console as much as they did on PC.
This will have the lowest completion rating of any game to be on xbox

With the awful load times on console, reaching 99 would be damn near impossible, and that’s not even taking the shoddy servers into consideration. Runs on console take 5-10x longer than on the old of version… So that’s 5-10x harder to hit 99. And most people used bots for it… Worst achievement they could have thought of, only way it could be worse is if it had to be in HC
But it doesn’t take long to reach 99 on any character in Diablo 2… less than a week if you grind the right locations, and even faster if you do Baal runs in a party with people.
No, No, and No
There is only 1 location as it stands baal runs,
Baal is capped in hell at players difficulty 3 for XP and drops, any more then 3 makes it harder for no reason.
Monsters are caped at lvl 85 so every level you get above 85 has reduced XP gained from ALL monsters including Baal runs. SO you cant even pick where you want to farm XP you are forced to grind the highest level monsters only and Baal is a controlled density
Unless they bring out new content for leveling and end game grind. This will be top 10 worst achievements ever

Less than a week to level 99? What world are you living in? it takes on average 4000-5000 Baal runs with full lobby to go from level 98 to level 99 and if you average 7-10 mins per game plus adding in sleep and the lack of Baal runs consistency you will be well over a week just for that alone. Try and do this on console only without cross progression character to make use of lobbies and more population on PC and then tell me if level 98-99 is still possible in a months worth of Baal runs? I bet you can’t as there is not enough people doing it still for console for full games.

They aren’t retroactive? This needs to be looked at. This isn’t cross-progression otherwise.
Yeah they are not retro and you need to meet the requirements again for them to unlock which is impossible for some achievements i.e. reach level 99 can only be done once on the same character therefor if you do it on PC and load up console it will not unlock.
Was this ever done or no? I was considering getting diablo 2 on switch but not if trophies/Achievements still don’t pop.
Switch doesn’t have achievements or trophies so you’d be fine there. I would suggest not doing any achievements that you don’t find fun and rather focus on any priorities you place higher. I’m currently doing the 99 grind on PS5 offline because I enjoy every aspect of the game but only while I’m in the mood to play.
Any news about cross progression fixed properly?
at least 1 dev could response at all
It makes me feel like you guys just try to trick people to buy the game on different platforms and get more money back.

I do have the exact same bug on the ps5, I also switch sometimes over to pc. The trophy counter for reaching level 99 and reaching hardcore level 99 are both stuck and don’t move anymore since months. The level 99 trophy is stuck at 90 and the hardcore trophy 99 is stuck at 31, both should be at 94 cause my hardcore character is 94.
Has this been fixed? My character is 93 but both trophies are stuck at 91… i only play on ps5
