My friend got the console version and cant play with pc users and he cant trade in for a pc version… what a scam… How they word things to trick people… I worked in sales i know whats up with those word play… Crossplatform… scammers!

Cross save is diferent Cross play…
You can have the game in both plataforms and use the same save character

They never said it would be cross platform. They always said cross progression. You can play your character on PC. Then exit the game, and go to your Xbox, and play that same character with Xbox players.
I highly doubt they will ever implement cross play entirely.

they claimed cross progression not cross platform. those are two different things. I agree it SHOULD be cross platform. I think it’s a licensing aspect for servers and console companies. Blame your sony, microsoft, nintendo for this one.

D2R has Cross Progression, not Cross Play. That is what they announced in Feb and what they have said in each and every communication about it.
Your progress is the same if you play on PC, then Switch, then back to PC.
You can’t play with others on different platforms though.
Planned support for cross-progression—take your progress wherever you play.

Blizzard only said they are looking into the possibility of Cross Platform.
There is no such thing right now with D2R.

Cross progression is not cross play. But to be fair, it is possible, that it will come eventually.
It’s a good thing because the controller loot pickup is not compatible with PC players, unless you like never getting anything on a PC.
