So got this game, it crashes. unsure what settings to make it not crash, made it thru act 1 on certain settings and then it crashes sometimes immediately, sometimes after some time.
would like it to not be on the lowest settings.
not even getting an error message it just puts me back on the desktop.
overall not pleased with the quality of this update
What are your system specifications? Processor, amount of RAM, and graphics card are the important specs. As a reference, here are the minimum/recommend system specifications for the game:
When is the last time you cleaned out the dust from inside of your computer? If you don’t remember or it’s been a while, dust buildup may be blocking the vital airflow needed to keep your hardware components cool, the game may be causing your system to get too hot, which excessive heat leads to instability and crashing issues, along with the possibility of permanent heat related hardware damage.
You can check your system event log for graphics related errors. Hit start, type “eventvwr” and run it. On the tree listing on the left, expand “Windows Logs”, then click “System”. Look for any entries with Level=Warning, Source=Display around the time when you experienced the crash to desktop. These are errors that are generated when the graphics driver crashes and your system is able to successfully reset the graphics card.

If you are getting these types of errors and you have an older card, it’s often the result of the card overheating or possibly being on the verge of failure.
