Crafted items upgrade recipe and better stats?

Hey. Wouldnt it be great if devs added possibility to upgrade crafted items with Horadric cube same as Set items? And also redesign some of fixed stats you get on some recipes. And to be able to craft ethereal weapons.

When you craft a blood/caster belt with limited potions slot, so you can upgrade it for more slots.
If you craft some weapon rolled with 350% ed but its Normal weapon and you want Exception or Elite weapon.

Its very nice but with this, in 1 year time or less, everyone will have the exact same gear for specific builds simply because it works the best… so, no.

Your argument makes no sense and you contradict yourself.
First of all NO two crafted items are the same, the probablity is so low, that you will not meet a person that has same item.
And second, everyone uses Grief, Hoto, Spirit for weapons - how is it “different” and not “exact same gear”?

Random attributes on rares and crafted items should be buffed, yes. It would ensure that lots of players would be equipped quite differently end-game. The way it is now, somebody tells you what build they’re playing at level 95 and you can tell them what items they are wearing since everybody uses the same runewords and uniques (which don’t deserve the name since a UNIQUE item can CATEGORICALLY NOT be worn by everybody).

The variety for crafted Weapons recipes should be increased - they should, for example, add also Bows/XBows (Safety) , Swords (Hit Power) , Claws (Blood both) and Daggers (Caster) to any of these , and in this way increase variety of builds. Further , the Etheral property on Crafted item should stay, just like Charsi Imbue Rare item quest.

This. The idea that it could take 100 straight years to find a rare bow that is slightly better than a Windforce is skewed.

Rare/magic mods on weapons and under-used armours should be calibrated, and the cube recipe for rerolling rares be downgraded from 6pskulls to 4pskulls (this will also allow 4x2 rare weapons to be rerolled).

I don’t think upgrading crafted items is an issue at all. You’re supposed to craft exception and elite magic items into exceptional and elite crafted items if that’s what you want (that’s what I do). You have control over the quality of the item that is generated (just like choosing a base for Runewords). This isn’t like sets and uniques that drop from pre-defined qualities. So no, I don’t like this proposal.

I just recently discovered that Normal/Excep/Elite versions are not randomly chosen, as I tought…

So its very hard to get Elite bases to craft with. Like 2% chance on weapon to be Elite in shop or by gambling it. Plus if you take in consideration the amount of crafts it takes to get maybe 1 good weapon… it is practically impossible.
Plus bad mods on crafted weapons. Therefore noone crafts weapons, which is sad…

People don’t crafts weapons because they’re just bad, not because they’re hard to craft.

Don’t look for elite gear in shops. Magic weapons are one of the most abundant drops in the game. They’re more common than armor. You can easily stack mf to find a ton of magic weapons. With the exception of weap87 treasure class, you can run and get them from weapon racks. Even in weap87 treasure class (which you can’t cheese with a weapon rack), magic weapons are the most common.

If you want to craft elite weapons without ever leaving town then yes it is near impossible. But it’s not at all hard if you actually play the game and leave town and kill mobs.

If you want to craft for example 50 Elite axes at once, you wont gamble and wont shop it, you wont find them killing mobs, you wont find ethereal ones… in no practical time.

Caster amulets are easily crafted cos you just gamble them, gather crafting materials and use them. Then you just pray for rolls.

With weapons you cant do this.

It’s just like crafting elite gloves, which people do. And belts, which fewer people do. The difference is nobody crafts weapons because there’s hardly any weapon worth crafting.

Thats why I posted this. Better up the stats of crafted items. More types of weapons to craft (example Blood axe, Blood sword, etc.), and crafting ethereals.
