I am in town in act 1 and can’t open the cow level. I tried on normal mode with a Wirt’s leg I looted on normal and a town portal I bought on normal, and nothing happens when I click on transmute in the cube. Same thing on Nightmare mode with a Wirt’s leg I looted on Nightmare. What to do?
Just to make sure you bought Tome of Town Portal and not just one scroll?

Let me tell you my problem i had, when first tried.
I leveled through normal and startet nitemare.
I went back to normal and while travelling in tristram got wirts leg. At this day i did not open the cow level.
Another day I wanted to go cow killing. Boght a tomb from akara and put it together in the cube hit action and - nothing happened.
I found out, I had to go to tristram and there i dropped my old leg before i clicked at wirth and another leg dropped but in different color. I took this one from fresh corpse and went to town. Put it all together in the cube - the new leg and the tomb and action. There i was in Cow level. That not exists.

That was the issue, my bad! Thank you!!! By the way is it confirmed that we can now kill the Cow king without problem, or is better not?
