I read a few articles online about the cow level, and just wanted to make sure if I understand it right.
If I go in and kill the cow king, then I cannot make anymore cow level for that difficulty, but I can still make it for other difficulty where I have not killed the cow king.
I can make as many cow level as I can as long as I don’t kill the cow king.
and what does the cow king look like? is he just a normal cow or is he a different color to distinguish from other normal cows?
I can only make the cow level in the rogue camp in A1.
1+2. That was the behavior in OG, but that changed in resurrected, you can now kill the King without penalty.
3) He has an unique skin but is very similar to an normal cow. He spawns always in the same äh fort? and is always lightning enchanted and lightning immune.
4) ugh i don’t know that, but you find the leg in A1 so it’s usually made there.
5) yes.
you can kill the king, nothing changes, no penalty.
you can create as many cow levels as you want, even if you kill the king every single time.
He’s similar to the regular cows, but has a golden ornament around his shoulders.
yes.
yes. only one in your inv, cube and private stash combined. Also it can happen that your leg becomes red texted. Not sure how this happens, but it means it’s useless. Just drop it on the ground and get a new one.
I’m currently at the point of going on Mount Arreat to fight the Ancients. I tried opening a Cow Level portal, but, when I try combining Wirt’s leg with a full tome of portals in the Cube, my Amazon character shouts out “I can’t use that yet!”
What does that even mean? The only reasons that I can think of why the portal won’t open, is because I’m way past the window of opportunity to activate the portal, or the fact that the copy of Wirt’s leg I’m using, is a magic copy.
