Hi , Im making this thread beacuse i just want to know if this will ever be fixed? I have done alot of research and people are saying that the cow king doesnt drop his set since a previous update from a while ago… there doenst seem to be alot of info about it and i just want to know … will this be fixed soon? im trying to farm for the set (last set i need) and i need to know … Thanks.

It cannot be dropped from cow king. Right now i am going to make a bug report. With my friends we made around ~1000 cow king kills on normal and could not find a single cow king set item. From the other cows i found armor and helmet (this one on nightmare), but the king cannot drop them. I just found a magic studded leather from cow king right now with 64 durability. The original dura is 32 on studded leather. This happens only, if the monster does not have set item in it’s loot table for the item you made it drop. Instead it drops a double durability magic item. So instead of killing cow king with 1/55 drop chance, you have to kill normal cows with 1/200.000 drop chance. insane… I would provide screenshot but this page does not allow links or images.
I hope support will deal with this and do a fix on it.

when you mentioned you found amour and helmet, you found those on nightmare cows? Also youre trying to say killing a single cow on normal, You have a “1/200.000” chance as in 200 hundred or 200 hundred thousand chance ?
I really wish they would fix this, this is really annoying. We need answers to what is going on with this bug, and hopefully fixing it sooner not later…

So according to rankedboostcom . They say the only mode that drops the set is normal mode. Wheater or not this is factual i dont know, im leaning more towards its not. based off what you said and other research on what other people are saying, its possible to find cow king set can drop in nightmare and ive seen a video of a guy getting a set item in hell mode. After doing a bunch of runs on normal, ive only come across sanders boots. i have my fingers crossed they fix this.

I found the cow king armor 3 times on normal mode, from normal white cows only. The cow king is not dropping the cow set. The cow king helmet i found on nightmare cowruns, from a unique non-king cow.
And there is one per two-hundred-thousand chance to find the cow king boots from a normal white cow on normal difficulty. 1/200000 is around 0.0005% chance. I got this info from maxrollgg page drop calculator, set up by players 1 and 400% magic find. The set is dropping in all difficulty, but normal mode highest chances (which is still super low).
With the king bugged and not dropping it, it is near impossible to find the whole set solo self found.

After reviewing maxrollgg i have a better understanding now the drop rate for each difficulty and rate drop % for cow king and other cows… i really did not have a understanding of the drop/rate system in diablo. now i understand the system and how it works.
i see cow king is the only realistic way to get his set items … lol i tried the drop rate and mine came out at 2.0202% winning and losing 97.9. that is 1 in 48.5 %. the other 3 cows, their numbers were so high i think it came out to 0.005 %. I even set the party size to 7 and for the odds didnt change with cow king drop rate, stay the same, which doesnt make sense to me beacuse its suppose to be higher with more players … always believed.
im trying to wrap my head around that you found on 3 different times cow king hide from a normal white cow with that kind of odds, how is that possible that with those oddds you managed to find his chest set from 3 white cows with those odds? with the odds that great… i dont see how its possible, and to have it happen 3 times.

The cow king is BUGGED. It cannot drop the set right now for unknown reason. When it WOULD drop cow set item, a magic item is dropping instead with double durability. This is the problem. I found today again a magical studded leather with 64 durability from king. A studded leather normally has 32 durability. It should have been a cow king armor, but there is a bug which prevent him dropping the set.
/edit: today i finished my 320th round of killing ALL cows on cow level normal. This is how i found armor piece 3 times. There is approx. 400 cows on a level. So i slaughtered about 128000 cows with holy shock paladin so far. They die from the aura without touching.

Yeah im going to farm normal cows in the meantime, hopefulyl they fix it, shoutout to Dev team! really want this fixed! i tired gambling it, didnt go so well, think ill stick with farming cows. im using a MF sorcess with blizzard.

One year later, still not fixed, no response either. No monetization = no support.
